yeah yeah, i know. spare me the lecture... this post is here so you can learn from my mistake of hoping for the best when buying cheap chinese crap.
SSAutochrome/XSPower's divorced turbo dump doesn't fit worth a damn... the flange is warped. That's what you get for trying to weld piping to soft ass pot metal.

And even if the flange Weren't warped, it would have leaked soon after install... scope out how much of a seal there is between the two studs. Thats about 1/16"th of an inch.

Besides these folly's, You know how the T25 has 2 studs on the bottom and the 3rd is a bolt? the smaller wastegate pipe coming off the flange takes such an extreme immediate bend that I couldnt get the one bottom bolt in there. Thankfully I had a longer bolt the right size and I made my own stud but.. forget it. what a waste of $80. SS *MIGHT* be willing to send me a replacment, but what am i going to do with another fucked up piece?
put it back on ebay for a $20 hit i guess.
FWIW, I have a Megan exhaust manifold and it fits VERY well. If the used greddy dump i found isnt available anymore, I might try the MR dump but ive heard the O2 bung needs adapting.

forgot to mention, the hardware that came with it is worse than what you'd get with a wal-mart swingset, and the gasket they give you is soda can thin and doesnt even fit over the middle piece between the primary and wastegate pipes. hence the re-use of the original gasket + sealer.
What a joke.

They suck at communication via e-mail.
Either they have intelligent automated reply systems, or the person replyging is just dumber then a door knob.

spend the $5 and get the flanges decked
nice and simple
the thing with SSauto, you cant expect them to be perfect, ya got to expect to deal with a few errors. if you dont want to deal with the errors buy something else.
even expencive mani's need to be decked once in a while, its kinda what happens with alot of heat

for short term a belt sander can fix this in about 3 minutes. I had horrible problems with megan racing stuff on my 240. Although they claim to be sending me replacement parts... just that the replacements are 3 weeks on back order :ghey: I ended up taking the plasma cutter to the flange and fixing it myself but needless took 4 hours to hook up a header and downpipe on a ka

If i dont get a refund I'll get this thing decked and sell it to someone for $60 shipped.

basicly means making very flat, you normaly have flanges decked becouse heat warps metal.

Mine fits too. No problems.

decked = surfaced flat
belt sander action
you could mill it but that would be kinda overkill

Mine fit perfect too. As for the hardware, everyone knows that's the main place to cut corners. Look at OBX strut bars, good quailty end plates and bars but the bolts snap off like twigs when you tighten them in. The SSA stuff comes with really low grade junk studs/nuts, just throw them out and buy better stuff. Anything cheaply prices is like that.
As for the flange, I agree it's a bad batch.

So, slightly OT... but the Megan exhaust mani is ok then?
I couldn't sworn I'd just read a thread that said they were identical to SS manifolds? Y'all are confusing me (and I need to buy a new mani pronto! LOL!)

My Megan exhaust manifold is on point. fits perfect, comes with decent hardware, warrantee information, and a nice bracket that transfers the weight of the turbo to the manifold's flange so as you go over bumps and stuff it doesnt stress the welds.

MY DUMP IS FOR SALE, I FLATTENED THE HIGH SPOTS IN THE FLANGE BUT IM GETTING A GREDDY, I'LL SELL IT FOR $60 SHIPPED

SSauto mani's come with that bracket also, not the KA version, but the SR did. there has been talk about that peace not being very good becouse it doesnt alow the turbo to move with the mani as it expands, but its out of my leage to figure out what is better on my own
