ok...i've decided on the s15 sr and have a small goal...to get to 300...if you had a decent amount of money, how would you get to it...realistic results, i am still reeling from the fiasco of the last hypothecial thread i started...i'm thinking I/H/E, and maybe up the boost 1-2 psi??? don't know if i'll hit 300 with that but looking for some ideas...looking for the most cost effiecient way...but any ideas are appreciated...

Stock s15's are 250hp arn't they. That should get you to 300. You might have to up the boost a little more then 1-2 psi but I'm just a newbie what do I know

stock the S15 is rated at 247bhp. I'm guessing when you say you want 300hp, you mean 300 wheel hp, as chassis dyno's are the only good way to measure a cars hp. I'd say do 3" turbo back exhaust first. The best way I'd say to do that is to get the Heavy Throttle downpipe and test pipe, then get Apex-i N1 exhaust. Then get an intake, or K&N filter. At this point you could probably up the boost to 18psi or so (highest for S15 turbo. Take the car to the dyno, see if you hit 300whp. If not, pick up a Blitz LM series front mounted intercooler, test again. At this point, if you're not at 300whp yet, you might have to upgrade the turbo. Don't worry about fueling too much. Make sure your safe and get a 255lph pump, but the S15's 480cc injectors don't max out until 360bhp or so, so they should hold well at 300whp.

yeah...it's 250 for the s15...you're right that it won't reach 300 i guess...i don't know how much horsepower to add for the boost increase...but i forgot to add my ecu and stuff...you didn't add any ideas though... eh...

nah...300whp might take more money than i am willing to spend...i was looking for 300bhp...

Umm... why do people want headers on their TURBO cars?
P&P manifolds I can understand.. but not a header.
I/E/H is for NA cars...

It would be a little easier to help you if you specified how much you want to spend.

I'm still trying to figure out how an intake, header or your current aftermarket ECU (at least thats what I thought you meant) are going to make more HP.

But anyways, to reach that power at the wheels, somewhere in the 15-18 psi range, and some basic stuff like exhaust BC, and FMIC. For 300 at the crank, that could probably be done with bolt ons and 14psi.

Well, if ur looking to spend LOTs of money....then get a fully programable computer like the Haltech E6K ($1300) and a laptop to control it (Get a used one) then get a full 3 inch turbo back exhuast (around $700 if ya look for the deals). Get a front mount intercooler ($1200-$1500), get a new filter ($45), get a bigger turbo ($1200 for a quality ball bearing piece), head to a dyno and find someone who is really good at tuning haltechs, and enjoy lots of power!
Tyler
P.S. IF ya just want some cheap power, get the 3 inch turbo back exhuast and call her good. You should have gained a few ponies from that. :!:
