does anyone have pictures of the enkei rpf-1 on s14's
i've been eyeing these for awhile, but the offsets never seemed all that great to me
17x8.5 +30 (f), 17x9.5 +18 (r)... then again i could go
17x9 +22 all around =i... would that clear the stock suspension?
i dont have that much experience with rims so im not sure if the +30's will look all THAT bad or not. i'veb een searcing high and low but s13's and 14's dont seem to like em too much
ps would powder coating the silver rims gold look close enough to a enkei factory color? the gold's dont have good offsets

+30 would look horrible you should aim towards 17X9.5 +18 front and i think they ahve a 18X10 +20

the 9.5 +18 will clear stock suspension? how about the 9 +22? look/clearance

If you have stock suspension, don't get super low offsets. You won't be running enough camber to tuck them in. If you plan on getting coilovers down the line, get them now and get the wheels later.

yah what he said not sure if 17X9 +22 would work. All I know is my friend with 17X9+12 fnorcs fit okay still coulda used a lower offest

The 9.5 +18 should fit, but will look bunk as heck with stock suspension. I have 18x9.5 +12 it clears my coils, so stock should be okay I second Flybert's opinion. Get some suspension first.
once my 17x9 +22's come in from japan i'll post pictures up, right now all i have are the 17x10 +18 rears on my s13. if you can find anyone that can get a hold of the 17x9 +22's grab them. like the others said, you should work on lowering your car first, save up for some coilovers and then worry about wheels

well i have shocks and springs...i was just referring to "stock" suspension being like kyb shox with eibach springs... since the progressive springs are about the same diameter as watermelons. the car has about a finger gap with the stock rims... so that being said, it'll clear the springs and if i roll fenders will tuck in fine yes?

Spring diameter has NO effect on wheel clearance on stock-type struts...the wheel sits BELOW the spring perch.
9", +18 (EDIT: in the rear)won't fit without a decent roll, if you plan to run "real" tire sizes (i.e. 25/40-17). If you are running drifter-size 225/45 on a 9.5" wheel...then maybe it'll fit.

. . . if you plan to run "real" tire sizes (i.e. 25/40-17) ...
Damn, that's hella stretched.

he means 255 i bet
225/45 on a 9.5 isnt THAT big of a stretch lol...
i run that on my 9s and it's like perfectly vertical

That's not true. A 245 on a 9 is about as close to vertical as you can get. 225 on a 9 has a nice stretch and helps with fitment. 225 on a 9.5 will be quite stretched.

17X9 +18 should fit fine with a 235 tire

a better question is:
-do you have a really really really x100 big hookup in japan?
or
-do you think its cheap/easy getting those JdM tYtE sizes?
by asking this i am either:
-trying to find out so i could take advantage of your really really really x100 big hookup in japan...
or
-trying to propose reality and let you down gently in hopes of getting them easily or cheap...
anyways, theres a pic of them on an s14 in the old pics thread...if im bored or insomniac enough tonight, ill look for them...

215/45 on a 9 is awesomness especially for the fronts. I run 245/40 on some conti-sports its like a great fit such a minute stretch but it rounds out the look of the tire.
yeah i've got a 215/45 on my rear right now because i got them for free..but i'm in need of new tires
i think i'm gonna run 215/40/17 all around to get the static height down

You ever take a picture of the car? I am interested. These are sweet wheels.
my fronts are supposed to come in around or after sema, if that happens then i'll post up pics

i didnt realize that you were the same guy i was talkin about...i always knew from the beginning that the RPF-1s would look good on s14s...i would have had them by now if i could get/afford the JDM sizes...but for now, ill settle with the 17x9 +35s...TK, would you mind me asking where, how, and eta of the JDM sizes?..hope you dont mind me using your pics btw...

i'm friends with one of the enkei reps and ordered the wheels through him. i believe he put in a big order of the 17x9 +22's, but the drawback is that i've been waiting since maybe march/april... i honestly can't even remember how long its been. the prices are no different then the 17x9 +35 since they price the wheels by size and not offset, its just the wait time. i may talk to another friend of mine and see if we can put in another order of 17x9 +22s and perhaps have them stock some so people don't have to wait so freakin long.

so your saying that the rep put in a huge order of 9" +22 headed for the us? i know that they arent priced different by size, but by means of acquiring them...meaning paying shipping from japan etc...so are there gonna be select shops that are gonna start carrying the sizes that we cant get? let me know if you guys decide to make another order...i am dead serious about getting myself a set with good sizing...because i know that if i get the 9" +35 and run spacers, i will not be satisfied at all...but what choice do i have? i dont know any enkei sources...
the thing is with enkei, if you want a wheel that is not offered in the states you have to order 40 wheels in the same size, offset, color. i'll try to find out how many sets are availible and who you can order from. you shouldn't get charged from shipping from japan since its all done by boat. if it was air freight then i can understand being charged shipping.
