New to my 240sx 1992 sil eighty model. Problem is with my passenger side headlight. The problem is in the driving light, not the high beams. Did voltage check before plugging in the headlamp, and after you plug it in, there is no voltage. I know the headlights are good because I swapped driver to passenger, and the driver side works perfectly. I am stumped, is this a problem anyone has had?

i forgot if mine was like that, check your fuses, its in the engine bay on the passenger side behind the battery, if not try checking your left arm ont he steering wheel column, take it out, make sure the copper finger that touches that one part is being pushed down to turn the headlamps on, my highbeams wouldn't work before, so i had to push down/bend 2 copper fingers so they would work when i would turn the highbeams on

SO I guess you were right. The first thing I did to check the headlights was to take off the switch at the stearing column, but I didint know excactly what I was looking at and it wouldnt come all the way apart. With your adice we noticed that if I shorted the driver side with the passenger side relay contact the passenger side would come on. So I did a ghetto fab job on it and soldered a jumper piece across the two contacts and Voila. It works now. If you hadnt told me to go back I would have spent hours going over various relays under the hood.
Thanks

yeah no prob, yeah last time mine wouldn't contact so i just bent the damn thing more so it would touch, i remember joining the other two but i ghetto rigged it by have a wire connect w/the other side with electrical tape lol, but that only worked for a bit then the tape melted lol, but i found out later that it was just a fuse when my pass. headlight went out, glad you figured or found a way to fix it though
