woundering if anybody out there doing there own alignments... if so.. where did you learn? any books you recommend that might help out? thanks for any replys

I want to know too. I want to start doing my own aliments since im always messing with my suspension and changing stuff constantly. Or i can find a good connection.

get a bubble angle finder, and get good with a tape measure.
look on amazon for some books about alignment.

the closest place that can alligne my car is 1.5 hours away! :rant:
everyone else here in town either doesnt want to touch the car ( incase of scratching it) or their machines dont work becuase my car is too low for them :doh:

order some basic stuff online
worth the money
tape measure
flat surface
and a few hours
after a while you'll get it done really fast
i do shop alignment then i jsut tape measure it with any changes i make. its easy.

it is easy, flat plates lay against wheels 2 tape measures... a digital camber and caster reader thats all u need... where did i learn? workin at a shop

you do make it sound so easy.. hahha... the old man that was suppose to teach me passed away the day i was on my way over to his shop....
hmm thanks for that... thats as far as i have gotten right now... i think i found a book that shows something in my local book store.... im off to get it today...

it actually is really easy
jsut time consuming
stuf online is relatively cheap for basic tools.
a friend to help is always a plus.

yeah holding the tape measure in place... for daymn sure... its constant jackin up and adjusting...but it works...
