i was looking on tougefactory's site and noticed a new item: peak performance turbo manifold. from the outside, it looks like a full-race manifold. is it a knockoff of full-race? price is quite heft at 800+ but not as expensive as 1200.. i would pay an extra $400 to get the real deal proven full-race manifold for sr, but if peak performance makes a knockoff for RB, then i might consider it, because the full-race version for RB cost $2400.

Peak boost or peak performance... Peak performance looks nothing like it
From Dave:
PB vs. FR
pb - turbo sits little lower, has better clearance, wg sit higher
fr- runners are little longer, looks like octopus, pretty colse to brake lines, wg sits kinda low

peak is great quality. up there with full race
butfull race has such a well estabilshed name, i bte peak is cheaper because to get the name out, gotta lower your price some
ill have a peak mani soon
turbo and motor upgrade/rebuilt later. :)

Yeah, peakboost manis look awesome. I like the shorter runners. I plan on either buying one of those or making my own copy of it one day when I can afford a bigger turbo.

Would be nice to see some dyno numbers on the peak boost mani.
I too am looking in to either brand. $400 is still a good amount to have extra in your wallet.

I quote Phoenix Turbo (Peakboost)
"the Enjuku Racing S13.5 drift team switched from a log manifold to the PeakBoost SR20DET manifold and saw a gain of 40whp at the same boost pressure!"

BTW- Peakboost doesnt make a RB manifold

Maybe this competition will lead to price drops by Full Race? Hopefully by the time it's time for me to get a mani Full Race will be cheaper than $1200.

got confused with the peak boost and peak performance rb25 manifold of phase2. what do you guys think about the peak performance rb25 manifold for 1000.

there are only so many ways you can make a manifold, so it's not really a knock-off just another company makeing the same designed mani. my friend runs the dyno shop up here, www.f1dyno.com and the other guy working there Adam makes mani's for honda's and they are pretty labor intensive and are high quality and cost around $600-800 and are the "ram horn" design like full-race and such. it basically somes down to material and quality. if more companies start make these mani's for sr's then the price will go down. look on honda-tech and see how mani diff. places make the same basic mani and are all around the same price to ss

i too am curious about that manifold. IMO, $1000 is expensive, but i would pay it if it was an awesome manifold.
