Ok I have done a 5spd swap on my 1995, and have a question because I have ran into a problem. I dont have free play in the pedal even though it is at full adjustment. When I installed the clutch pedal (now its from a S13 but I could not see any real diffrences when comparing it to a friends car but if there is somthing I should know tell me) I didnt know if there was some kind of rubber part that get sandwiched between the pedal and the firewall, if there is that might be why I have had to adjust it all the way already. Now the clutch dose not slip but I know it should not be letting out as high as it is and also should have free play at the top. Any help would be cool, I tried to get a S14 pedal but they seem to be almost impossible to come by and Nissan cannot get the bracket for them anymore.

After my 5 speed swap my clutch grabs pretty high in the pedal travel (although I have an S14 clutch pedal, I recall reading that S13 clutch pedals sit lower than the rest of the pedals when in an S14). It seemed weird to me because I have an ACT HDSS, and practically all of the reviews I've read say it grabs pretty close to the floor. I've messed with the pedal adjustment and it helped a little, but it still grabs pretty high and I've gotten used to it. I would say that as long as the clutch is fully engaged and not slipping when you're off the pedal, it should be allright. Oh, and there's no rubber piece or anything between the firewall and pedal..
