Ok I thought I would ask this question more directly...I need to drain the engine coolant out of the block but I cant get to the bolt because the header is in the way and without buying a 15-20 inch extension and a 3/8 swivel It's seems impossibe to get a wrench or regular rachet and socket in there to remove it. Has anyone with a HotShot header drained the coolant from their block and how did you do it? I have to change the water pump and I know I can take it off but with a big mess I'm sure, but I still would like to do it the correct way for future coolant changes.

S13's have a small philips head plastic drain plug on the bottom drivers side of the radiator. Id be suprised to learn S14's dont.

That's the Radiator not the block, you cant drain the coolant from the block of the engine by draining the radiator.

when i did the waterpump in my s13 the motor was already out of the car. When you pull the radiator plug the level goes down in the block. I know it doesnt Drain, but i thought it would be low enough to at least make a minimal mess. only trying to help.

Maybe just try to remove the freeze plugs, you'll have to replace them though since you'll be hammering a screwdriver in them to pop out. Or spend the 15 minutes it took me to remove the header.

You're joking. Instead of pulling the drain plug which takes all of a minute you're suggesting to pry out the freeze plugs?

That's what I was thinking! Also I realized that a socket will fit on the drain plug but the rachet wont fit on the socket because of the header pipe, so the extension and swivel idea wont work and hell no I dont want to take off the header I'd rather deal with the coolant mess from taking the pump off. So maybe since the car is lifted up in the front most of the water wont come gushing out too much when I take the pump off.
