View Full Version : 300ZX Suspension Sawp into 240ZX

I just got my first 240SX for a project car and am doing alot to it. I found a set of coilovers and shocks and struts for a 300zx, and ma just wondering if anyone knows if they may fit on a 89 240SX.

It Will Go In There But You Will Have To Modify The Rear Strut Upper Mounting Points, And In The Front If You Plan On Using The Z32 Setup You Will Have To Weld Attachments For The Upper Control Arm

Actually its the rear strut lower mounting points. The 300 has a fork style where the s13 has an eyelet. Or you could use them if you swapped 300zx spindles on.

Well I don't think I will have a problem with the rear one, but no going over it I will need to add the attachments for the front strut to the knuckle spindle.

I was sent a pick of them for reference, so I attached it here in case anyone might have a idea for me.


One other thing, I need to weld a small piece onto the rear end close to the rubber body bumpers. I looked everywhere to see if there is amethod to take these off but found nothing, and I don't really want to burn it out. Any advice?

That pic does not show Z32 coilovers. The rears should have a fork lower mount. The front upper mounts on Z32s are a 2bolt, not 3bolt like the Schassis. You're looking at more labor to adapt then what they're worth.

How about swapping for a set of coilovers from a newer model 95+ 240SX S14? Will those bolt up ok onto a 89 240sx?

Fronts will. Rears are about six inches too long.
