Headlamp is on the blink

My right headlamp is always out when I turn on the lights but.... even if I just gently tap the cover (where the paint is) it comes back on. What would be causing this? I'm sure the bulb is ok since it works. Has anyone had this problem?  

I knew I didn't like the pop ups for a reason.

Sounds like a loose connection somewhere, should be easy to fix.
