It's a safety feature. On the timer, there is a separate wire that goes to you parking brake. The timer will only work if the parking brake is up. On apexi's model, if you put the parking brake down, the car will cut off. I guess so no one can hop in your car and haul ass. I guess if someone was to steal it, they could just bump the timer up and up and up and just keep driving. Anyway, that's the deal with it.

steering wheel will still lock . on my old car i didnt even hook up the ebrake (grey wire) i was too lazy to take out the center console to tap that in. hahah so yes u can drive just keep bumping up the time. just go straight. rememebr u can bump it for 10mins and drive for 10mins . find a way to break the steering lock and you are set. beside if someone already go into your car already, they can just hot wire taht sucker and do the same thing and they dont have to bump the time up

The parking brake function isnt for a theft deterent rather to prevent people from driving their car with the timer still running and potentially having the car turn off unexpectantly. This function is a good safety measure.
