boostdesigns was a good thing that had gone shady. simply put since the KA intake mani is 2-piece. Remove the upper piece and trim about 2-3 inches from the piece that attaches to the block. then get some aluminium and weld a plenum onto it. Remember vac. lines, etc. and voila aftermarket intake mani made from OE parts (in a nutshell)

Or you chould read RBS14's write up on ITB's. Now thats a sick setup.

Without extensive knowledge in flow dynamics and such I wouldn't just build a plenum. There's a LOT of engineering that goes into a properly designed plenum. An improperly designed plenum can starve one cylinder and then kaboom. Or many other variations of too much and too little air.

welll i was thinkin bout the itb's setup but i dont hve the knowledge or money to do it, espeacially since u have to use someform of fuel management, i dont remember what he used but iknow nuthin about it and dont even knowwhere to start, so i figured a bolt on mani would do the trick, i guess i am am lil late

just pay rbs14 to build you ems and itb's for you, then go get it dyno'd. voila.

yeah well first off, i like how u volunteered rbs14 to do that, but i dout he is willing to do that for anyone else. as much as i want it. i dont think he will. and for the money he would want to do it, i could just get and aftermarket sr20 mani and cut the flanges off and coupler the ka's on, i would use couplers cause from what i was told u cant weld cast aluminum.

Xcessive Motorsports (division of Ground Zero Motorsports) has one that will be coming into production soon. It's cast aluminum on the plenum and not on the runners. Performs very well on their drift car.

well i have been searchin and still no luck wtf. why is it that the ka is soo damn popular now, with people doin ka-t, and i cant even find anyone that makes a decent after market intake manifold. well i decided that my best bet is too do the whole frankenstein sr intake idea. i talked to a couple local welders and they insisted they will be able to weld them together... we shall see. wish me luck! Or not. i dont car either way.

well, i have changed my mind one again.... back to the ole ITB setup i stopped workin on a long time ago. gonna take my gsxr throttle bodies and mount to mani like rbs14 did, then get twm induction's air box so i can still uitilize the mafs. oh i cant wait!
