I am in need of a seat soon. And I was wondering from your guys experience and opinions, which bride seat would fit well for a 6"0, 190 lbs person?
I am lening towards the zetta III's or the Artis III Navi's.. Any other recommendations would be nice for a person my size.

Bucket or reclinable?
I'm 6'0" and 200lbs and fit perfectly in my Recaro Speed (SRD)
I've got a Sparco Sprint. I'm about the same size as you give or take an inch in height. The Sprint fits me well, i need to buy some pads to tighten up the waist area a bit and the lumbar pad too...and probably the shoulder pads
so now, the sprint isnt that good of a fit but it's cheap!
dont get a sprint, i've sat in a Zeta III L and it's a bit of a tight squeeze for my ball sack to be completely honest. I'd look into something made by Sparco like the Fighter...I think those guys tend to have larger testicles then the Japanese guys that design Bride.
*EDIT*
i am assuming by your height that you are not a small japanese man

Zeta III L maybe? I don't think you'd fit comfy in a Zeta III reg.
I would recommend Sparco Evo 2, or maybe Buddy Club Wide.
Japanese dudes in America are bigger, its cause of the hormones in the chicken.

KFC and Popeye's. I have a Cobra Imola II and i'd enjoy it once I get my rail, I like the seat fitment, very comfy, and it's FIA-rated. Personally it's either Cobra Suzuka, Sparco Rev, or BHs Zeros. Best way is to let your ass decide by getting in different seats.

thanks for all the feedback.. Ya man.. its definitly the food that we eat in america. We are some piggy muther F'ers. I am leaning towards something in the bride category.. But in my priority, a)comfortable fitment, b)exceptional quality, and c)decent price is what I am generally looking into.
Its a daily driver/track car, so I was thinking something bucketseat. Since I rarely recline my stock bucket seat in my car.. I wish my ass could have some seat time in numerous chairs.. but I cant really have the opportunity.
So out of the choices I see people suggest the Sparco sprints,Evo2, Recaro Spg,SrD, or the Zetta III L.
Another question.. What would u recommend in harrness wise.. there is so many to choose from, but i understand its mostly preference. The "t style" , "H-style", and so on.. 4 point.. blah blah..
Again.. thanks for the input and further input would be greatly appreciated.

I forgot to mention Recaro Pole Position.
You should fit fine in that, its much roomier than the Sparco Evo regular which I have.
Recaro is by far my favorite.

anyone mod a bride reclinable rail can sit lower than stock (with a Recaro...)?
I can't decide whether to take the hit and get bucket for the extra head room, or pay more for comfort but more work to get it to sit lower

original poster - i would reccomend any of the following. OMP, recaro, UK market corbeau (US market is total trash) cobra, status, sabelt. I cant in good concience reccomend anything made by sparco, every sparco i have sat in has bothered me in one way or another. i have a sprint or a speed in the passenger side, its junk, but it holds a little better than stock, and its totally cheap. even their 2nd to top of the line circuit seat has crappy feeling fabric. i cant speak for the s light, but whatever. it costs more than most peoples s13s. I would like to try out the corsa however, havent had a chance to sit in one of thoes and it looks like it might be less ill designed than the others. i dunno why sparco makes the ass part of the seat like a fucking box. it sucks. the harnesses are fine though, since they just get them from sabelt.
also, thumbs down to bride, the seats are fine, but fuck they arent made out of gold people, i dont know how so many people can lay down like 850$ for an FRP shell seat and not feel like a total douchebag.
also i could never reccomend any reclinable seat. for driver use at least. reclinable seats are such trash. they are anything but more comfortable. bucket seats are so much more ergonomic, being that they arent designed to fit 100lb-400lb size range of people. its not a low seating position vs comfort, its good bucket seat vs suckass reclinable. if you want the seat back to recline, keep your stock. if you want good performance, get a proper setup. people who say reclinables hold good havent sat in buckets, people who say sparco sprints hold good, havent sat in good buckets.
i would suggest you check out the following -
**mild**
corbeau sprint
omp grip
sabelt ST or titan (youd have to check your measurments to determine which is more suited)
recaro profi spg or apex (basically depends if you want wear patches)
status monza or hockenheim (same thing with the wear patches)
cobra imola
**medium**
cobra suzuka
corbeau pro series
omp WRC, WRS (different amounts of padding)
status ring, laguna seca, monte carlo, le mans (all basically the same shell, different wear pads and harness slots and other superficial things, depends on preference)
**good**
cobra evolution
recaro racer spg
sabelt indianapolis (cheapest seat i have found that was designed to work properly with hans)
omp pista (good value)
corbeau revolution (good value)
status indy, imola (i want to try an indy, so cool)
note - bride seat pricing becomes a little more competitive in this range, but it is just assanine that their GT buckets cost like 50 dollars more than their street buckets, making the street buckets completly pointless.
bride zeros and maxis are cool, similar in design to the indy i mentioned above, good if you want the lateral holding without helmet restraints. although it is kindof hard to street since they go up pretty high. but its doable.
bride III stuff is all stupid, maxis III is so dumb. ugh.
harnesses -
willans, schroth, sabelt, teamtech. look for 6 point camlocks (latchlock works but... man it is so fucking ghetto) with d loop sub belts. all of thoes seats i mentioned will be compatible with sub belts. if a seat dosent have a 5/6pt hole it is super junk.

wow.. really detailed post.. thanks a lot man.. I really dont wanna dish out 700 bucks for a zetta III seat.. ugh.. I feel ya man.. But i really want something super comfortable, super restriant for track, and economic cost for the reasonable driver..
So in your "good" category.. does any seat meet my likings?? If so.. which ones and how much am i looking to dish out? seat + rails...

well, what are you looking for? do you want somthing thats easy to slide in and out of driving around town, or do you want to have to hastle with the seat a little more getting in and out in exchange for more bolstering? do you want helmet supports or no? etc etc.
out of what i listed, the best bang for your buck IMHO is the corbeau revolution. its a medium sized seat so it should fit you properly, and has good bolstering and integrated helmet supports which i like (added saftey when running a cage on the stret is my reasoning) comes in various colors and stuff, roughly 450 + 100 or so shipping from the UK last time i checked.

hmm.. interesting.. I wanted something more aiming towards track use.. I would sacrifice a little bit of uncomfortablablness on the daily driving use.. for more of a bonus towards bolstering.. sturddy seat. And I am not really interested in paying above 500 bucks at that..

ok then the stuff i listed in the *good* category would suit you nicley. the corbeau i posted and the omp seat are going to be the most agressive for the cheapest price without being crappy like ebay seats.

actually that type of seat RULES for daily
i have the BRIDE MAXIS, love it for the street. its the greatest ever. i wouldnt ever go back to a reclinable. buckets that are well made are EXTREMELY comfortable for long drives and short drives. VERY VERY VERY comfortable.

But you got to take into consideration of my size.. Thats the whole reason why I started this posting.. I originally wanted to get a Zetta III, but the fitment was something I was concerned about..
If anyone my size is currently or has before sat in a Zetta III seat.. I would like to know the comfortable factor..If not.. im considering going with the recaro Spg.. but its kinda pricey.. about 200 more bucks above the zetta III's..
I went on brides website about their size specifications.. and the zetta III L are about 475 on the chart..while the reg is about 470.. And the Large is about $900 bucks.. Im sure I can find it somewhere cheaper.. but damn.. Im better off getting the Recaro SPG

Gonna work on that tonight. Still have to mess with the plates so it doesn't sit angled and too close to the door....
You'd think after the years of people asking for better rails for the Recaro's that someone would have produced a better fitting one now.
The old "JDM" SRD rails that sit super low are impossible to get your hands on.

I'd have to agree with Aaron on this one... got rid of my reclinable on the driver's side for a full bucket... the drive down and back from Norcal to Socal for DDC5 wasn't unpleasant at all...
Zeta III L should work for you...

While no one would argue that a reclinable holds as well as a bucket...I *sleep* in my car sometimes, so a reclinable kinda makes that easier than if I tried to sleep in a bucket.

you sleep while you are driving?!?
just get in the passenger seat and recline it down if you are tired at events. Thats not a good excuse not to go bucket seat in driver side.. You'd think you would have to keep adjusting yourself in a bucket seat, but the good companies design the buckets so well that you dont even want to move around. A good bracket/rail design is also key.
Bride buckets are awesome, very form fitting. Recaros buckets are awesome as well. Some other buckets feel like a wall with no form. MemoryFab buckets feel pretty nice, decently priced too.

then dont get a freaking seat made for asian people. i dunno why everyone thinks bride is like the best shit ever made. its not like they run bride seats in WRC or anything. its basically only used in japanese stuff. stupid to pay a premium to get it sent over here when there are tons of better options.

its not FIA approved. most of them arent
bride, recaro, sparco and shit are really nice
other companeis are too but end up they ahve so many shitty seats the good ones are often overlooked because of the company name.

if you got a tad more money to blow... Cobra Suzuka is a sick ass seat, and Recaro SPG is prolly the most comfortable seat i ever sat in. For the money tho, Pro2000.

I so far have narrowed it down to the Recaro SPG and the Zetta III type L.
Its roughly about 100 dollars of a differnece but I would rather spend a little bit more money to satisfy me in the long run. Thanks again u guys... :wiggle:

Fitment shouldnt be too much of a concern as long as you get low sitting rails or fab your stock rails.
The Brix II's have always caught my eye,

And im not gonna pay 700 bucks for swollen nuts man..

damn rite, that was a moronic post. fitment is everything. you do not want to be uncomfortable in your car for 6 hours straight. i bought an OMP Grip first, and shit, its so tite in the thigh area, it bugged me to death.
Pro2000 is made by Sparco. its like $480-550 depending on how hard you look.

i got a bargin for zetta III type L down pretty low. So i might go with that depending on how much the total outcome is (shipping + tax) and all. Comparision between the type L and the pro2000.. What do u think?
EDIT**: I just went on sparcos website and seen their dimensions for the pro2000. Damn, that seat looks Freakin comfortable! Out of all of the competition seats they have, its about moderate sized in the thigh area. The Evo2 is actually the biggest they feature out of competition seats next to the Pro WRC. But that price is reasonable compared to bride and recaro. WTF! hopefully sparco can give me a answer soon.

dude that was my problem, because of kung fu, i got big ass legs while the rest of me is like normal sized. so the OMP was smushing my boner, even tho the top half felt amazing. Evo2 doesn't have enough leg bolster IMO, it feels like you sit ontop of the seat, not in the seat. p.s. - i roll without the ass pad, to sit lower but either way.

yes, pro2000 kicks ass too, i wouldve got that but got sick deal on evo so meh.
pro2000 has awesome kidney outside bolster, its almost like an evo with taller mid section bolster. it was decently roomy.
u gotta sit it in yourself to make a decision though.

Im confused about the Recaro pole position seat. It had mixed ratings like the Zetta III L. Some people who are 5'9 165lbs fit perfectly in it.. and then another guy 6'0 200lbs fits perfectly in it also. But the 200lbs guy says that its alittle snug in the thigh area but not too bad.. I am 5'11 190lbs and am interested in this seat. But fitment concerns me again.. Shessh.. wish i had a bucket surplus store I could go like toysRus. But I narrowed it down to (pole position or SPG)
Still havent got word from Sparco, but the pro2000 still looks interesting to me also.

Installed my Cobra Imola II with the NAMS rail. I like the feel of it. The rail rocks. Seat is super comfy, NOTE::: Cobra uses ample amounts of padding, I measured it at 2inches thick!!! it feels great. I sit slightly lower then stock S13 seat when at 2nd hole in the front, bottom hole in the rear. Today I switch to top hole(front), bottom hole(rear). I will say this, I want to sit lower, I'm a fanatic to havve a low seating position, what others may feel is low is entirely to high for me. Literally I want my chin to be equal with the door. My next seat will be Suzuka or a Low Max Bride. I want to have extremely low position. BTW to get a better feel of how you will fit http://www.sparcousa.com/resourceFiles/26.pdf sur eits sparco but if you measure your dimensions, you can get the appropriate seat that will work best. BTW get a seat with high leg bolsters.

I did the same, but I only removed a couple of support springs. Holds decent for a stock seat, and a good solution for those too broke for a nice bucket.
