time to take Starter off an S14 AT

Hello!

I know the starter on a MT car takes >60min to replace, but what about an automatic...the damn service manual wants me to 'slightly lower the transmission' is this necessary? is it possible to do it from the top of the car or do I have to get underneath? any help is greatly appreciated from a :newbie:

I don't see why it would be any different. Side under the passenger side, Undo the harness and pull two bolts.

Exactly the same way as on the manual tranny. The easiest way is from underneath on the passenger side. Like he said pull the harness and the bolts and it's the reverse to go back in.
