Hello, I am looking for a legitimate source for purchasing an S13 clip. I have yet to meet anyone in my area that has performed this swap. I've found a couple of different websites that sell them. I have heard horror stories of people ordering clips (paying for them) and never ever receiving the clip. To those of you, who have done the SR20DET swap, and even better for those of you who bought a clip to do this, who did you buy it from, or where did you get it?
This is Flash Options.com (http://www.flashoptions.com/default.asp), has anyone used this website, or even know someone who has? Please help me out, I am looking for some information.

Phase2Motortrend - www.phase2motortrend.com
JSpec - www.jspec.com
Both are legitimate and reliable businesses.

I second Phase2. There not out there just to get your money. And they dont mind answering questions if you have any. Plus they compression test their engines also.

I thought about flash option.com when I bought mine but I didn't like the idea of sending a money order to malaysia (some call it the theft capitol of the world) and hope to get a clip in 30-45 days.....and no tracking info either....
I would personally recommend B & E Customs.....they are partners with LS auto and I think we all know who they are.....hit me up on PM and maybe I can get you a better price...
by the way B&e is where I get all my silvia body stuff and oem sr stuff too....eric is an awesome guy....
only the best comes out of that place :coold:

Jarco by far, or Heavy Throttle, both on the East Coast. I know all the Jarco guys real well and they're a reputable supplier of nearly everything, and HT has been in the forefront of SRs for a dozen years.

Yeah I second Heavy throttle, they've been around for a long time and they really know what they're doing. I called them a few times from over here in Canada just to get some general info and they were great.

They dont compression test their clips... they do leakdown tests and tape it on the valve cover so you know what condition your motor is really in.

I just ordered an S13 clip from passwordjdm.com I dealt mainly with Leo and he was great. The only thing about clips is not many people sell them because they are so hard to ship. Enjukuracing, heavy throttle both do not sell clips. usedengine.com is a place in NC and they are great, but the prices are a bit high. I paid 2,100 for my clip and 2,660 shipped to a local dock where I have to pick it up. The dock is about 2 hours away from me one way, but thats because of the area I live in, not the fault of password. The clip is expected this friday or the first week of october so I'll let you know how it is. Thier phone number thats not listed on the site is 562-630-8298 and ask for Leo. They left the body panels on the car (180SX) as well as the lights and junk. So its a full clip, they even picked it according to my needs. Good dash, digital climate control, no frontal impact, etc etc. Good luck

I got mine from venus auto. I dealt with Vikki, great service. Was $2700 shipped to my door. Had panels on it, but the shipping comapny smached them. Vikki told me this would happen, so no shipping insurance on the panels, but other than that awesome service so far. I haven't had the chance to tear into the clip yet, but one of the guys i work with bought one from Vikki also and his had a few thing missing that she shipped to him at no cost, which was nice.

I've seen three Venus motors and heard countless other stories, it's really a gamble buying from them. You *might* get a decent motor that will last a few months at most.
