please help with foglight install

well start off by saying that i just purchased a '95 240sx 5speed last weekend and i decided to start adding a few things today like a B&M short shifter and JDM S14 Foglights. so my parts list for the lights include 2xfoglights relays and a foglights switch/stalkand of course the lights themselves and brackets. after spending about an 1 1/2 getting the bumper off i think im ready to bolt on the lights and thats where the fun begins......

this is where im confused...the wires are there to plug the lights in and it looks like there are three bolt holes to hold the lights in place but i cant seem to get them lined up to bolt them in place.

hopefully someone on here can help me out ive searched everwhere and there are not any pictures to help with the install if i can just see how someones foglights are bolted up that would help out alot. by the way i downloaded a service manual and that didnt help either

can anyone help with this issue??? these are jdm foglights i bought them off ebay from a guy in japan but they look exactly like the usdm ones

well after spending a few minutes looking at the brackets it appears that the usdm ones and the jspec ones are slightly different. ill post pix in the morning on how i will make the JDM brackets work.

They are different. Just cut the extra tab off and bolt it right on. That's there because Jspec cars don't have the full rebar behind the bumper, so it provides a little extra support.

you can hook your wires to your park (corners) lights. i did mine like that and i have not blown a fuse. and your lihgts come on when your parks come on. no extra switches or relays to deal with

well spent about an hour bending the extra tabs off while watching tv and i finally got them off. i plan on plugging the fogs right into to the factory harness and putting the relays in and the switch in the morning, but before that i need to run to home depot and pick up some bolts and nuts because the stealership sold me the wrong shit. ill keep you guys posted on this install and the many more in the near future.

i had that same problem with the bracket too before on my old s14...i ordered the brackets from a nissan dealer online....idiots messed up with one of the brackets and sold me one like yours..i did what u did and took off the extra tab...then flatened it.. added extra hole for the screw so it would line up with the bumpers.... to wire it.. just follow Raine's guide =]. http://garage.projectraine.com/ just go to guides, you'll find the fog light mod =]..

You're still overloading the circuit, and why half ass it when it's already prewired? Takes more time to hack it then to do it right.

well the install is going to take a few more days than i thought, i had to order the oem brackets because the jdm ones will not work, even after a slight modification to them. so ill keep you guys posted on that next week. my current project is taking apart the factory bumper lights amber/orange because im too poor right now to buy the jdm front bumper with lights. i hope they turn out nice either way. im on my second coat of paint and ill post pix as soon as i put them back together.
