Alright, the car idles at 1300rpm and makes this weird whistling noise. The noise goes away whenever the throttle is blipped though. I haven't been able to pinpoint the noise yet... The car has no powersteering belt connected so I don't think that's related.
1989 240sx Hatchback
1998 SR20DET Blacktop w/ 62 ECU
ACT Stage I Clutch kit
255lph Walbro Fuel Pump
Hybrid Front mount intercooler kit
Blitz BOV
Project Silvia 3" Down and Straight pipe
Infamous 3" Fujitsubo FGK catback
Cone filter on stock intake piping
This started the second day I had the car, during this time the clutch hydraulics managed to get a leak and the pedal now goes straight to the floor and has to be pulled back up by the tips of my toes. I assume I just need to fill the fluid and bleed the system, figure out where the leak is coming from (I think the line that goes to the slave cylinder or the slave cylinder itself).
edit: After some thinking I am assuming this happened because I was used to holding the clutch in at lights, probably not a good idea with a heavy clutch.
Any input would be appreciated on either the clutch issue or the whistling noise, thank you :hsdance:
edit: If I unplug the recirc pipe that goes from the bov to the wastegate(?)/engine, I assume this is a vaccume line, the whistling stops. If I pinch the rubber line the whistling starts again. With the recirc disconnected the car idles perfectly, even after revs into boost. Is it safe to run with the line unplugged and sucking air?
