wheres did the oil go?

This is for my 93, 240SX FB, Stock KA closing in 160k.

when I first got the car, I was running on Syn Blend (Castrol, 10w-30), no oil leak/burn noticed when I changed my oil with that Mobile 5000 oil, noticed some oil loss after I changed that oil with Full Syn 10W-30 (Quaker State - cheap at Wal Mart). Now the KA likes to eat more oil (half a quart every other week I think.)

Does this justify the fact that when switching from regular Dino to Full syn oil on an old car, I will notice oil loss? I mean I don't notice any drips or drops on the ground (wherever I park, I try to notice if I get any sort of leak). I don't see any oil burning either (there's no residue left on my bumper).

Between the two oil change (Mobile to Full Syn Quaker state), I have put on JWT pop charger, 3 Inch Highflow cat, and a 3 inch SSA exhaust. HWY gas mileage improved when I put in the pop charger, and it get even better when I put in the 3 inch cat (on stock exhaust), then the catback made the gas mileage went down just a tiny bit. I get 30mpg to the gallon consistently on the hwy (let's no talk about city....)

It's going somewhere look under the car for oil buildup getting blown back(not ground car) i believe if your just burning oil your temp maybe a little above normal don't quote me

I think I may switch back to regular Dino Oil, and change them more frequently.

synthetic oil some how finds cracks that regular oil dont. i have had aplenty ka24de engines(run them hard untill they pop). the front crank oil seals dont last over 150k miles. you should replace yours. check to see if you are getting oil build up on you lower control arm. dose you car still have the factory under skid plate. if so that my be filling up with used oil and dirt. it makes a kinda paste that dose not leak on the ground. :coolugh: :coolugh:
