GET WELD LOCD V3!!!

From what I read it is almost impossible to shatter the diff... very important. I highly recommend them. 75$

http://www.shockdrifting.com/weldlocd.html

Highly recommend if you're going to daily drive it as theres a good chance that if you go with an inexperienced welder it could break and lock your diff on you... and you'll probably die.

Welded diff for life. :coold:

PSH, fuck ya'll my welded diff owns. . .I love it. Way better than some open or VLSD. If you compare it to a 2-way. Shut up, because I can't get a 2-way for $100.

Daily Driveability sucks monkey nuts. While creeping, or slowing accelling to park, one tire would normally grab, and the other slowly lose traction, causing the car to kinda feel like a bog down. Tires play a good role on how often you chirp while turning, and you'll start gettin used to it.

All in all, its a cheap alternative.

Hey ghostuss, I know someone that can weld your diff. Just PM or email me. Hes going to be welding my open diff as well. Hes done a few. Two of them I know for a fact have done at least 3 to 4 drift events.

Welded diffs. are great for a cost effective drift diff. Not so great for daily street nuff said. I drove my friends s14 for 2mins at driftcircuit with nearly bald tires and rear end was kicking out with great ease. However It was kind of hard applying the throttle during the drift. The car had gr-2s and eibach springs. I think it was the bald tires and suspension. Should be better on my car with better tires. Oh and huge difference going from my half ass vlsd to the welded.

how about calculating shipping from San Jose to San Diego for a package that weights 60-75lbs. You pay for his shipping. :wiggle:

FLYBERT can weld it. socal, but not san diego.

he did one for me, super awesome

and good prices too!

search for his screenname

as for weld locd, does anyone have pics of his welds? i lot of people hype it (and im not hating), but id like to see what the hubbub is about. welding skill, yes, but any decent welder should do a perfectly fine job, if not the same as the next guy.

Hows welding over 100 diffs hype? We also use a refined welding process with a very unorthodox sheilding gas, and filler material combination that has taken much research to come up with. I can also guarantee that if you use any standard mig, tig, arc welding process then the diff will break in time.

on the real im not being a hater, i just want to see the welds. i am familiar enough with your service and your customer base, i just was curious. if anything it would only help your sales.

its like if you had a manifold, you'd want to see the weld quality, penetration, etc.

for you socal guys that don't want to ship, hit up 1-800-FLY-BERT! (hahah, no don't call it, it's not real)

Cmon Luke! You can be the Valentino of welded diffs :wiggle:

Luke VALENTINO!!! Doesn't it have a nice ring to it?

ghostuss

Luke, you should consider welding and shipping the diff without the cover. It's much lighter to ship therefore you get the entire US as ur market. you can even do a core exchange program like if he send you an open diff core back you refund a certain amount. blah blah blah.

chlatboy
09-23-2005, 10:47 PM
Or you can make monthly visits to SOCAL. And we can all have our diffs ready for you to weld on whatever certain date you pick. That way you come down, spend a whole day welding and make lots of money.

that sounds like a great idea, but people who usually do this kind of work like their own tools and equipment to work with. Probably be a hassle for him to get all that stuff down here, and I dought he'll leave his stuff and work with someone elses equipment. If not, hey lets do it.

welded is great. i think its better then 2 way. ive drove vlsd 2way and welded and welded is probably the easiest to drive imo. and the cheapest. i got one for free from a friend that used to use it at the drag strip alot. put it in my car and still worked flawless

I would but the rear cover only weighs about 2 lbs.
Good idea tho.

Haha. Luke Valentino. lol

Thanks for the props guys.

Also i do have a core exchange program. Please check out www.shockdrifting.com and click the weld locd banner for more info.

Thanks Luke

However It was kind of hard applying the throttle during the drift

huh? whats that supposed to mean???

u push down on the gas pedal with your right foot... thats kind of hard?

welded... what can i say... i ditched my vlsd, got a weld loc 3 (thanks luke!) and i fucking love it... u get every bang for your buck.

car bogs when trying to park??? mine doesnt, i just need to gas it a bit more since the rear is full lock all the time.

sooo you compared a vlsd to a welded and came out with the conclusion that welded is better than lsd?

someone close this thread, Weld Locd Ver3 kicks ass, enough said.

I figured the shipping cost. Using Fedex ground. 75lbs all the way to san diego is $47.20 not bad.

Come on man, I even made a reference to bald tires. Do I have to spell it all out for you? I was obviously talking about giving the car gas without spinning out.

Chris I tried calling you to get you involved in this, but I guess you lost your phone again. Ghostuss, CAMFabrication(chris) is the guy I was talking about that can weld.

right now i am getting Christ (Flybert) in LA to do it. I have 2 ppl in san diego that wants to get this done so it's 3 including me. I am talking to flybert to get a deal on it like a groupbuy. So if any san diego ppl want to jump on this just PM me. shouldn't be more than $40 to get ur diff welded, that's including gas money that you have to chip in if you want us to bring the diff down and back. You have to take the cover off, and clean it thou.

Time: This weekend. Not set in stone yet. I want to get like 4 ppl in so I can lower the price down a little more. :yum:
