Is it the later or the earlier 7-spoke stock S13 wheels that clear Z brakes?
(I have wheels off a '93)
Also, is it the 26mm brakes only or do they clear 30mm as well?

Before anyone cries "search":

Still doesn't answer the question. Are the earlier or later 7-spokes the ones with the "good" inner spoke design? Or is it not year-dependant, but... production factory? Who knows..
I guess I could go look, but it's dark and raining outside.

They should clear 30mm, since i've got 180 brakes on mines. I think its the earlier years that would clear the Zs, but don't quote me. Lemme SuperSearch.

You have to look at the back of the wheel to tell the difference. 240Driver39 has some pics of it. I'll see if he can post them.

I got a wheel off a 91, it was like this, my stock 91 wheels were like this, and my friends 92 wheels are like this. So im guessing its "early" ones.
i can't find my picture of the other wheels, but basically they are 2 ribs that run along each edge of the spoke.
Essentially if you dont have the wheels that are in the picture, then they wont clear without a spacer.
in short...run spacers (i like to run a very low offset anyways for styling, so might as well)
on my wheels (aftermarket of course) i could put a shoe between the spokes and my 30mm Z caliper
