Yeah...So has anyone pieced together their own SST brake lines from McMaster or anything?
I know you can piece together an oil feed/drain line from Mcmaster.
Thanks

you cannot use mcmaster stuff brakes operate at a higher pressure not to mention will kill rubber lines
If you are going to build your own both aeroquip and russell fittings make high pressure fittings for thier extruded teflon lined SS lines but in practice you cannot make them cheaper than you can buy them so hit up www.splparts.com and quit being such a cheapass remember there are some things you shouldn't try to save money on and brakes is definately one of them.

Brake lines should be DOT approved...by some premade ones that are tested and known to be safe.
Cheap out on an intercooler, exhaust, or turbo manifold if you must...but NOT on brakes.

DIY doesnt necesarily mean cheaping out, on brake lines maybe, but not on everything.

^^^ Oh, believe me...I know.
I will fabricate and try a DIY version (or 2) of anything on my car before I buy a premade or 'name brand'...power brace copy, full 3" custom exhaust, hot pipe, etc, etc...
But trying to save $20 by making your own brake lines...no sir.
