I may be doing a Silvia/Sileighty conversion over the summer as a project, but someone told me that Sil-Eighty body panels don't fit directly on the 240SX fastback. Sooo, I was wondering if that was true or not?

They both require the EXACT same amount of work. The coupe and Fastback have identical chassis's.

The person who told you that either doesnt know much about the Sil80, or was just BSing you.
The Sil80 is the 180SX or 240SX fastback with the front of a Silvia on it. It is the EXACT same thing as putting the Silvia front end on to the coupe. Like sykikchimp said below, the chassis are in now way different in the front of the car.
Good luck man. By the way, what kind of Silvia front end are you planning to put on? S15, or S13? If you have any questions or need any help just e-mail me.

I would do the motor first.. That way there no chance of your damaging your nice new Silvia front end when you pull the old motor out, and put the new one in.. Or, since your gonna have the bumper off anyways for the FMIC.. just do them one right after the other.. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

Yeah, and if your going to "drift" You should get to know your car before you buy any cosmetic supplies for it. This gets me thinking of a video, check this one out. Its about 3.3 megs: Drift King vid (http://www.angelfire.com/rpg/driftkings004/driftcars.html)
Get the video that says 6 to 10. There are three cars that are especially significant.
Whenever a newbie comes in here and asks how to drift we should show it to them. LOL, download and enjoy.

All of my friends have cars, and only one of them, a BMW 325i, is RWD, so none of us have actually done any dori-dori slideways action.
My plan was to do the swap and conversion together, instead of seperately. It's just that two sources told me I couldn't stick it on a fastback, and I wanted to make sure. So, now that I'm sure...I'll let you guys know how it goes if I start the project!
