having problems with this forum

for some reason, next to the new post button where it tells you what page your on out of however many pages there are, mine counts 1 alll the way out to like 750 or so and makes it load pretty damn slow. i can scroll for like an hour to the right and click page 678 if i wanted to. how can i limit this to something reasonable?

At the bottom of the page list all the threads, under Display Options, set a timeframe that you want to limit the list to. 30 days usually works well.
