Hi guys

I have recently purchased a Cusco LSD that was already installed on to a open diff pumpkin...right now it has the 6 bolt input shafts on them. I believe those were from the open diff.

But the guy who sold it to me said I need VLSD shafts.

Do i really need VLSD shafts?

Do I get the USDM VLSD shafts or JDM??

Is there a difference between VLSD and Open Diff shaflts(performance wise)????

Nothing performance wise to gain, they just have different ends per VLSD and open and you can't interchange them.
If there's already a set of shafts in the diff, they should be correct. If not, find a set from a S14 SE with VLSD, a J30, or anything JDM that's 6bolt. Or find 5bolt shafts and matching axles.

yea i just had this problem
it is VERY hard to find output flanges that are VLSD
5 bolt or 6 bolt
you usually have to buy the whole VLSD diff
you can order them new
but they run about 150 each
