Hey guys, there is a guy selling a 90 S13 with 210k/miles on it but an engine that has only 15k and a tranny that was rebuilt 6k miles ago. Anyways the engien has a blown headgasket on it, how much do these cost to get fixed? The guy will sell the car to me for $500 i think, and its not all that bad of a car, just needs some cleaning mostly. Thinking of trying to resell it after getting it fixed up a tad and cleaning it. Thanks
I don't think head gaskets are more than a hundred bucks or maybe two...but I think at 75-100 per hour, labor will be like a thousand <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('>

About forty or fifty bucks for the headgasket.
You could use some vaseline and preparation for the labor though, 'cause it is a shitload of work to get to.

Headgasket is about 8-10 hours of labor, take under $100 for the parts...
If you have general knowledge of the car, buy a chilton's manual and do it yourself.
