Are there any programs out there that do this as easily as making an audio cd? I'm just being real lazy and want to insert the DVD, and hit burn. I'm probably asking for too much. :x:

Trying to figure out how to take an ordinary .avi file and convert it to a format that will play on my dvd player. Nero doesn't regonize the .avi I have.

I think you have to convert it to an mpeg first because I think most dvd players don't recognize avi files.

its easy to convert an avi to dvd.. just tedious...
what you do is download "TMPGENC"... this is your encoder. just take the avi and encode it to an NTSC MPEG-2. then you would need an author program (windvd writer) or something like that... after you encode it it seperates the files... one video file, then one mp3 file (the soundtrack for the whole movie) just put them together using the author then burn to disk.
