I'm in the process of putting Z brakes on my S13 and every shop I call either doesn't have a drill press or won't redrill rotors and they know of no one that will. Anyone know of a SoCal shop that does that...I'm so surprised... :bash:

But....it is 90 bucks to have two rotors redrilled and ummm....I called the place and there is no answer. Great help.

drilled rotors dont rly help that much, if anything more prone to break/crack , its kinda liek overkill, just my $.02

He's talking about redrilling to fit his 4 lug

can't blame them. probably worried about any kind of liability if for some odd reason your rotor decided to crack.

Try calling Pro Design:
714-436-1158
Also try calling custom work/machining shops. I don't know of too many people who will say they can't do it for the right price.
email me at
[email protected] if you need to know of more shops.
hope that helps
thanks

I would do it on my own....Make a quick template and go at it. These arent going to be your last rotors if you drive remotely hard too so just make a template

Hmm.. ok, what do you mean? drill the 4 bolt pattern to fit the 4 lug or actually cross drill them?
call Drift speed in westminster. Talk to Bryan. He'll get 'em done for you. I believe it's 20 dollars (could be wrong).

Called them, possibly too late...4:30 on a Friday. Thank you though, I'm definetely not doing the 5-speed swap. I already have the 300ZX Master cycliner installed...all off the brake lines installed, brand new SS lines, and I already have everything else I need except for the correct drilling on the Z32 rotors.

Sounds awesome...Hit me up on AIM if you get the chance, my SN is ReddZ32. I added you on my Buddylist so if I see you I'll give you an IM, otherwise I'm going to e-mail you.
What kind of beer do you like, I'm hoping its something good like Newcastle or Guiness, so I can have one with you. :-p

Interesting, thank you. What is the logic behind this? Also....I lined the Rotor Hats of the s13 to the rotor hats of the 300zx and from the looks of it 3 holes need to be drilled and they seem to be close together. Is the best way to do this, drilling 4 fresh holes (seems like it).

You looked at it wrong. The three you drill are not very close to any existing hole.
As far as the logic behind, try putting a 5lug rotor on a 4lug hub.

I got your email, bud. I've done this before for my car, so I know the drill .. get it?! anyway... Two holes end up being close to the existing 5-lug holes, but there's still plenty of meat in there, so no worries there. well, let me know if you need my help.
peace.

Um....I was not asking about the logic behind drilling it...I was asking him what the logic behind drilling from that particular side is. And...I'm not sure if you have ever looked at a Z rotor lined up with an S13 right....In every config that is how it lines up.
