Need diagram for ignition/starter (starting system)

My car starter went out, I replaced it and it will not do anything (starter works...we hooked up a wire straight to the bat and the car started to turn on so thats how we know the starter works. ) Like if the car was in N(is a automatic) Is there a diagram so I can see where is they wires come from the ignition to the starter. I cant find any relay for it. Please need help this is my daily driver that I use for work.

yours a stick or an automatic? The automatics had a shift position sensor or something that was in the passenger side near the ECU (someone correct me if I'm wrong) that controls this stuff... I hear that it is prone to fail.
