Is this a good deal? (Kaaz LSD)

There is a guy willing to sell me a Kaaz 2-way lsd, S13 pumpkin, S13 6 bolt output shafts and new Cometic Head gasket for $640 shipped. The LSD has 3000 miles on it. Also, will this this pumpking and the output shafts work on my S14 or I am going to have to swap over the internals?

You'll have to change the differential cover, but that shouldn't be a problem if you already have an S14 differential. . . I would do it.

not a bad price , 3000 miles on it ? do you know if he did much drifting? clutch pack LSD's do wear so that is important.

i originally thought i could use S14 diff on an S13, even after asking around, everyone said things were teh exact same. Pretty much true except the diff cover. S13s have 4 bolts on the diff cover, S14s have 2.

hmmm there are a couple things I would think about.

1. no proof of mileage
2. no proof of proper breakin or maintenance
3. 3000 miles.... track? or street?
if its 3000 miles track... you can count on that lsd being pretty worn

dude just buy a new one for a little more OR an S15 for about the same price and know that it'll last. swapping the guts isn't hard at all, its lifting the pumpkin into place that'll get you hard.
