hey guys, when i did the sr swap last summer, i ended up using my MAF from my 89 ka motor. well to make a long story short, one night i was coming back in the rain and all of a sudden i noticed that my A/f meter went to lean....then the engine just shut-off. i had to call a tow truck cause i tried for 2 hours to start the car again and it wasnt starting....anyways i called the mechanic who did my swap and when i described him the situation he told me that it sounded like my MAF shit the bed ( stop working). so nayways today i ordered a Z32 MAF and was wondering if it was just a direct swap? also, once i get it installed, what settings do i have to change on my s-afcII to get the car running again? which hot wire do i select for the z32 maf?

i think this is the right diagram if i recall.. there was debate on forums regarding a "colored" diagram and a "black and white" diagram which wasnt correct.

so what i have to do is once i remove the old maf i gotta use the plug from the old maf and then splice the new maf into the old maf plug right? then with the extra ground just to be grounded somewhere in the engine bay. right?

right I did a writeup for a maxima MAF install on a KA but overall its the same,
Install:
The maxima plug has 6 pins instead of 4 like the KA. Pins are,
A= Blank (not used)
B= Signal wire to KA signal (white)
C= Ground in engine bay
D= Ground to KA wire (black)
E= 12v wire to KA 12v (black/white stripe)
F= Blank (not used)
