Efficiency is priority than price

Everything stock on car and do not plan on major mods.
I like to replace my plugs and currently I have a set BKR6E in my garage.

Is there a preferred plugs that runs better than others ?
What Gap should I Set it at?

I know probably PFR7B by NGK is preferred but i hate to spend the $45 but if it really makes a difference then ill bit the bullet.

thanks in advance :aw:

i bought the NGK Iridium IX plugs. They were 45 dollars from 240sxmotoring.com shipped. their code is BKR6EIX-11. They look beautiful and i can't wait to install them.

Not that big of a difference if any, BK6REs are the way to go with a smaller gap, say .3-.4

.3 - .4 what units are you referring to ? mm ? it cant be inches. Please verify the units and confirm the gap width

Huh? Do you really need to see the 0's to understand that?

yes to be certain and that range is fairly wide too. dont you think so?

i think a zero that mrans 10% is very importtant
do you look at the zeros or the 1s when given change back? so $1=$10 ?

They are decimals any amount of 0's put before the decimal point still wont change it.

NGK coppers are the way to go, I'll see if I can find the part numbers, gapped to .28... Mine has run perfectly for months like that.

BKR7E is the number. (300zx plugs)

you are right before the decimal point dont matter 0.3 or .3 or 000.3. ok now - show me how you gap it to .3 - .4 inches or even mm

i suspect its 0.03-.04

hes talking mm, .30, .40mm, how is this hard to comprehend? do you even have a gapping tool?

thanks a bunch
I like to confirm as you have seen my post

I have never seen a plugged gapped at 0.30mm thats why i want to confirm. HAve you really seen one gapped at 0.30mm. THE FSM says otherwise so you must really have a good justification to 0.30mm gap. Would you please share with me or us ?

Yes I have both types of gapping tool wire or shim. I also have a set of precision shims that is calibrated/certified for precision calibration of instruments.

I have mine running .035 right now and its sweet. Although it seems like it doesn't make power up in the 6K+ range.

prolly cuz sr's make peak hp at 5800 so above that it wont be making anymore power power with plateau

Well if you have never EVER seen a plug gap of .3 like i suggested its probably safe to assume that i mistyped and implied .03-.04 it should be on both of you gap tools, fairly simple.

yes
but why assume when you can confirm and not F it up
you know what they say bout ASSUME. I cant afford to assume and F up my daily driver.

I will always err to the safe side
