Hello. Im considering selling oil cooler and filter relocation kits for s chassis.

*just to clarify mods, this is to sell the one off my car, if this one sells and people want me to make more i will pay advertisers fee and then put this in group buy section :)*

Ok so here is what i am selling as a "package deal" so to speak.

oil filter relocation kit, all fittings pre installed, leak tested, ready to screw onto motor, everything clearly labelled to prevent confusion (no risk of assembling package backwards and having oil pressure drop). only thing you have to do is screw on the hoses, because it would be really hard to mount in the car with the hoses already on haha.

remote oil filter base, pre installed with high capacity filter (larger filter surface area than regular KA or SR filter). again fittings will be pre installed, everything leak tested, clearly labelled, ready to go.

oil cooler using high quality bar and plate core, no external tube and fin pep boys cooler. Kit i am selling will include setrab core, 11"x5.75" (perfect size for side hole on aero bumper) if i decide to make more they will most likley use setrab or similar. again, fittings will be pre installed, leak tested. Core comes in standard black color, or can be colored silver or blue for a small fee. Rock gaurd will also be an option.

hoses on the kit i am selling are braided stainless with crimp on swivel fittings already installed on both ends

cliffsnotes -
-CNC billet aluminum oil filter relocation kit (filter landing convertor and remote landing)also includes ports to add oil pressure/temp sensors later on if you like.
-new filter (STP filter standard, mobile 1 option for 7$)
- 5.75" x 11" x 1/2" cooler core, different sizes available for different applications (specify black or silver, blue for 5$, rock gaurd option for 5$)
-stainless braided hoses (no plain rubber junk) with pre installed fittings. All fittings screw together for no chance of leaks, no hose clamps or anything.
-all AN fittings on everything
-instructions included
-will provide tech support via instant message, phone, email.

i would like to sell this kit for 300 shipped, no taxes, even if you are in my state. let me know what you think on the price. it seems pretty reasonable to me seeing how if you bought the same stuff from greddy it would be like 500$ or somthing crazy. this kit will allow for much easier oil changes, lowered oil temps, and lower coolant temps, increasing the longevity of your motor, and adding a nice touch to your engine bay as well.

what do you guys think? please give me opinions or interest.

Interesting, but you can purchase these parts from summit and such seperatly for much cheeper FYI. It just takes more time and research. I'd pay $220 for the kit shipped. Let me know if your interested.

pic of it on ur car? 300 seems a little too much but then I am one of those broke ass zilvian heheh. 200 is more reasonable with 20 dollar shipping charge. I vote on 220. if you can sell at that price and if you give pics of it working on the car I will take a set.

So you can make one for KA or SR right?

chmercer
09-13-2005, 07:37 PM
yes it will work with both KA and SR (redtop blacktop s13 s14)

sorry guys no sponsorship opportunities lol. i need sponsors first before i can sponsor sombody else.

cant really go much lower than 300, any lower and its not really worth my time to assemble and pack the kits up and everything. these arent going to be dropshipped to your house by some taiwan company, i have to have everything shipped to my house, assembled and inspected by me personally, then pack it back up and ship it to you.

290 shipped to your door ready to drop into your car for the first person who buys? :D any lower and its like i explained above.

hey i will have pics up on friday, dont have my camera with me.

on the filter to use, you can *pretty* much use any oil filter with a 3/4 -16 thread. right now im using mobil 1 filters from ford f150s, they are totally huge. i will post a pic of this as well on friday.

the hks system goes for around 190-200 plus shipping without an oil cooler core...this is a pretty good price in that sense...if this will work on my 350z ill take it

just curious, if you had actual photos of it mounted in the car. also did you notice any oil pressure drop with both the oil cooler and relocation kit?

350z is same as s14/s15 SR20det, not s13 sr.i run a z33 filter on my s14 SR

man this is a good price not to have to do research on what to buy or have to make the lines. $290 shipped??? gimme like 3 weeks and i'll be buying one for sure in silver. i'll remember this thread and just IM you or something, gotta pay for my cage and ECU tuning with this paycheck.

p.s. - i dont know what kits other people are looking at, but i see relocator and cooler "kits" from popular companies go for double that price. i don't care enough to save $50 and have to find all that shit myself, good deal.

one question tho... you know how much to up your oil capacity over stock when using this? or does that not change?

for me it was about 3/4 of a quart to hit the same spot on the dipstick i think.

and yea man no rush just whenever you get the money send a pm or email to [email protected]

tony - will have pics up on friday, dont have my camera with me. I didnt notice any oil pressure although there is most likley a slight drop. I only have my dash idiot light hooked up. but i have drifted on this setup a lot and never had any problems with starvation or anything.

thx for the info aaron, yea the filters are drifferent but the kit comes with the proper thread pitch adapter so it will work.

when i get home im going to test it on my friends retop, blacktop, and 350 to make 100% sure. I already know it works on my KA. sorry i dont have any friends with CA/RB so the best i can do for thoes is make an educated guess.
