Hello Zilvia.net.
I have just recived my 88 Silvia King from japan. i bought the car in hiroshima, privite sale car. i finally arived after a few month wait. Now i need alittle help getting to know the car and how to set it up at bit. firstly your going to need car info.

1988 Nissan Slivia K's, CA18DET, Blitz BOV, intake, Greddy protec B boost controller, Blitz DDT turbo Timer and Boost Guage. Kikimoto Exhaust

Suspention is Tein HE, with damper control (i belive, little knobs that twist on top of the strut.) i have 17" volk wheels with 40mm Spacers.

I would like to set this car up as Daily Driver that i can still have fun in when i take it to the drift track every 2 weeks.

I would like firstly to know how the Tein Suspention works, is CW harder or Softer??
Whats a good Setting for the front and rear. under what conditions should the setting be changed.

My boost guage shows that on the high boost setting i am hitting 1.07 hkph, I think that might be to much but i really dont know. How much boost should i set as my high, and low. HOw much power should it produce. I dont drag race the car and dont street race it either so i dont need to have crazy boost levels.

I need to Replace a few bulbs in the car aswell the front fog light and rear brake and signal light, what are there part numbers if thats not to much problem.

Also there is a decal on the car that says Battle Magizine Issue 115. Does any one have this issue, was this car in the mag. if so could somone scan the page and e-mail it. Has anyone seen this car before??

lastly I would like to find a few parts for the car i understand i should post in the market place and i will, however i would love to find the Stock Cool Box and A Carbon Fiber Trunk lid because mine has to meny spoiler holes and needs to be replaced. where should i look to get one. dose anyone have a used on for sale.

Thanks everyone so much
Dallas

P.S. what would be some logical next steps for modding this car for drift and daily driver.

You have everything you need for the application you describe.

Suspension setups for DD vs. drift are pretty much polar opposites, think on that before you go further. Given what you say the car came with, as long as all the normal wear points are watched (bushings, TCs, etc), it seems to me that the car was setup initially for being a faster than avg, DD that has more than enough adaptablilty for the weekend racer :)

Damn you canucks for being able to import JDM cars so easily... dammit... If only I lived 200mi north :(

yeah man i had a R32 Skyline first, but i sold it to pay off some bills and buy this silvia.

So what can i do to set it up as a DD, and what will i need to do to the suspention and others for the odd drifting weekend.

here some pics of my R32 if you like to see

I'm curious as to why no one has posted use the search button. altho, there is a difference in the usdm HEs and the jdm HEs with regards to valving. other then nomral maintenance and lowering boost to like 1 bar until you feel confident in driving the car then crank it up. enjoy!!!
