Ok, i just upgraded my redtop engine with a t28, 550's, z32 maf, and a secret services ecu.

The idle was fine before this, dipping only slightly when let off the throttle because of the vented bov. Now, with the new setup the rpm's like to dip or eventually kill the car on startup, or when letting off the gas.

Things i have tried to cure the problem...

-checked timing
-cleaned the iacv
-unplugged the tps: idle goes up to around 900 or so (not sure if this means anything)
-checked ecu for codes (pulling code 55)
-checked plugs (black, so running rich - got new ones)
-recircing the bov (i'm back to venting now)
-checked the injectors for leaks
-messed with the iac screw, but that increases my idle to about 1300 rpm (my idle right now is a bit above 800)
-made sure the intake was sealed completely to the turbo inlet
-made sure the bov wasnt leaking at idle

one thing i am confused about is when i put the timing light on the pulley, the timing seems to fluctuate around -15 btdc, instead of staying steady on -15 btdc... could this mean anything?

after all that i am still stuck as for what to do... can anyone help? thank you.

do you have any pics of how you installed your z32 maf? cause the wires are different

i wired it up via the instructions on zeroyon's wiring diagram on their website, that is fine because when i get on the gas everything is fine. its just at idle

its running incredibly rich, fouled out my new set of plugs in a week.

the problem now is worse, the idle wont smooth out, and it wont rev normally, it sounds messed up, and black smoke comes out of the exhaust when revving...
