OH my god. It makes me wanna cry. Its like watching a Elephant smash on a puppy. To other people it may seem like just metal but to me they have just crushed a soul. Why did they have to crush it. Couldent they have just auctioned it or something. And its not even a GTR. What would make it worse if the owner was some rich guy that dosent even care that a beautiful machine like that is being destroyed. This world is so cruel...

They wouldn't crush a car like that for street racing, for that they would impound and auction it... Now they WOULD do tha to a car if it's owner was caught street racing with a car not legally imported to the states, as it couldn't be auctioned and would cost more to get back to wherever it came from then to pay come good ol' boy to enjoy destroying it with cool machinery

meh, I'm sorry they didn't crush a soul. If it was some incredible car that only had 250 sisters, maybe it could be something to be sad about, but skylines aren't irreplaceable.

Not giving you a hard time, just wondering what search terms you used. I did a quick search for "Crushed Skyline". Found this Thread (http://www.zilvia.net/f/showthread.php?t=22533&highlight=crushed+skyline) from February of 2003. Perhaps 11ty billion was a bit too high of an estimate. :rofl: Anyway, no real harm done. It's just a Skyline though people, it's not like they crushed something special or unique.

*edit* The movie link appears to be a very well done fake poster, or utterly amazing slight-of-hand. Hiding a playing card behind your hand is one thing, but a whole damn burger?

here is the response i got at other forum.

"Nissan had brought this car into the US under an EPA exemption order which permits the vehicle to remain in the US for up to five years. Afterwards, the vehicle must be either converted to US certified spec (By a conversion house like Motorex) , shipped back to Japan or destroyed. The GS-T is not valuable enough to ship back or convert, so this was the result.

I'll send a note back to our contact at Nissan about the webpage. This is a prime example of "don't believe everything you read on the internet."
