Heres the deal... i have a contact in Tokyo who will send me some parts if i give him a list and send him the money..... I also plan on going there in a couple months... what are a few things to consider (keep in mind size IE shipping costs) having him send me thats real cheap over there but expensive here... i might start having him send loads on a regular basis... stuff that i can sell for more than i paid for of course so i can make some profit off this... I hear electronics are cheap over there... need some ideas.... thanks guys!
Also when I get around to going there does anyone know how much im allowed to bring back.... i plan on bringing like 3 pairs of clothes and a suitcase stuffed with other bags

By plane, you are allowed 1 carryon (must be under like 30lbs or something), and a few peices of luggage. Be careful tho, some airlines allow different amounts of stuff. I heard of some guy who wasnt allowed to return with everything he'd taken, because he'd travelled back on another airline that allowed less stuff.
I would have him send you JDM headlights that are useable in conversions over here. Also, used JDM brand coilover sets, JDM brand apparel (shirts, hats, Initial D clothing, etc). SR metal head gaskets, JDM fuel injectors, aftermarket fuel pumps (HKS sells a new HKS fuel pump for like $800 USD here). Thats what I would bring.

Isnt it funny how the japanese are hooked on american products and we're hooked on japanese ones.... I heard the same goes with cars.

Ask yourself this. What am I bringing stuff back for when I fly over there for my trip. Is it for me or do I want to sell this stuff. If it is for you think about what you need for your car that would actually work. If you are buying to sell find out what a lot of poeple like and make sure it is feasible to ship back via mail or luggage. I am in Japan and there is a lot of stuff out here. Go to Super Autobacs, Starks, And go to custom auto shops they also have a small parts line. Have fun!

I would take a bunch of autometer tachs because the big one with the shift light that we pay under two hundred cost over 400 hundred over there. If you're going to be selling stuff on ebay you should get the stock retracting mirrors because they're dirt cheap over there and every S13 has them. The junkyards over there are like gold mines with stuff for everycar you can think of so don't miss the opportunity. They have some rims that aren't available here in the states. Also stock VLSD's are like 50 to 80 bucks in a junkyard over there. think of it this way you'll see abunch of silvias and 180sx and rx-7 and keep this in mind, every 180sx you'll find in the junkyard will have a turbo engine that most likely good and EVERY turbo charged car in Japan has at least a VLSD diff, and EVERY rx-7 86 and up are turbo'd(no such thing as a NA fc in Japan). You can find aftermarket steering wheels for dirt cheap in a junkyard also. I picked up a momo steering from one at the great price of 2000yen(20 bucks). They have rims that you'll never see in the States. YOu know what, if you have the money to spend you might as well get a bunch of stuff shipped backed to the states because you'll more than make up for the price with the stuff you find over there. Heres a big one. I've picked up a VG30DETT engine from a junkyard for 50 DOLLARS9 (minus turbo).
holy shit! 50 bucks for a VG30DE! (or DETT - TT)
I'll be going to Tokyo over the summer, I don't suppose it's the best place to buy car stuff (is it?)
Care to suggest shops? or uh... junk yards? is there a car-tuning-district by any chance? Don't laugh! There's something like that in Hong Kong. Any help appreciated; as always.

Sorry to go mentioning Hondas, but if you could get JDM sunvisors for the del Sol, that'd be great. The US ones absolutely blow, and the Japanese ones can be sold on eBay for about $200 or so. It's crazy.
