For anyone looking for a cheap mod that can change the entire handling of your car, check out our member ridge collar install located on our drift factory car page. We have also just completed the install of our Kazama tie rods and we have a full write up available on this too.

For anyone who is not familiar, over angle tie rods are a great mod, especially for drift cars - these rods are stronger than stock and more resilient to breaking. Since they are over angle rods, they also allow you to adjust the amount of steering angle to greater degrees than the stock rods allow.

More countersteer = more drift angle.

are the kazama inners already spaced to eliminate the need of spacers/washers to increase angle?

Yes. The last pic on the install page is the angle that you can attain without any washers or spacers. It's more than you probably need and you can adjust for any range in between.

of course you attain it without an EXTRA spacer. its built into the inner tie rod itself.

s13 rods and ends? lame.
should have went s14. beefier all through the rod/end.

and that "angle you can get pic"
get an alignment first.
your more then likely toed out. get it on a rack before making big claims.

and how can you "ADJUST" the angle
its not possible
the inner rod is what gives th eangle
the outer is what you use for alignment (toe in/toe out)

the inner rod really sets the angle it allows

I'm using a stock inner and have a penchant for running over curbing at tracks. No bends, and I'm certainly not a soft driver. Just don't drop wheels entirely off the track or hit curbs with lots of steering angle and that strength problem doesn't come into play.

Your chances are greatly decreased for breakage w/ a beefier rod.
simple as that.

i hope you bring extra rods to the track.

should always have extras anyways, no matter what type they are from.

I agree, they are. But Kazama inner rod is indeed beefier than stock.

no its not
beefier in middle
but the end where it uses S13 ends, it gets slmmer, thats the weaker point
s14 is beef all the way thru, doesnt slim down for the thread sizing.

s14 fits the s13 rack?

beefier in middle

... and that is where you betray yourself. Beefier anywhere is still beefier, yes?

Fact of the matter is that S13 inners are perfectly strong for normal applications. Once we start bouncing off of hard things or dropping wheels off the track, we start having problems.

Yes, S14 and Z32 both fit S13 rack.

Welcome to Earth. Yes, they fit fine.

As far as strength goes, I'd rather break a tie rod than a rack or something more expensive. You 'drift' kids may swear by it, but that doesn't mean the rest of the world has to ride the wagon with you. This attitude that drifting advice is law is just fucking ghey. Get over yourselves, regular people do more in their cars than swing on the sack of the stupidest fucking form of motorsports ever known. And if you are breaking tie rods left and right, maybe you should pick up a better hobby since your driving skills suck.
For normal and even agressive driving there's no need to upgrade.

get over yourself russ
we are TALKING about DRIFTing and upgrades on DRIFT cars like DRIFT factory is building

piss off. go stand in your engine bay somewhere else.

wtf you totally missed my point ka something

beefier in middle is the same amount as the s14
but then the s13 gets slim where the tie rod end goes in
s14 stays nearl the same
a far as breaking and such, sure might not happen but if you've ever broken a tie rod at the track you'd kick yourself for not upgrading. iknow my friends have, because if your paying fo track time it no fun to be under your car fixing stuff.
