I just changed my diff fluid today and in the FSM the picture shows the fill plug to be right above and to the right (passenger). When I looked at it it was on the drivers side and wasn't even facing the back it is facing the drivers side. Too make matters worse my 3/4" drive ratchet wouldn't fit between the exhaust and the plug cause it's built like a hammer.

I'm just curious, is it like this on all 240s? Or is it for some model years?

I know s13s and s14s have different spots and s14s are in a hard spot, it might also be a zenki/chuki thing for s13s.

All R200s are in the same spot, and it's a bitch to get to. You'll have even more fun filling it up. Get a long hose to run out past the wheel and a funnel.

It should be a 1/2" drive, not 3/4"...I think.

I got a 24" long 1/2" breaker bar just for the fill port. Run a tube up above the wheel to a funnel hanging off the antenna and get ready for the slow pour....

i have a sweet pump with like 4 feet of tube on it, i think its from griots. and ive never had trouble getting to the drain and fill plugs.. having the right tools makes everything so much easier.

or you can do what I did and get a fluid pump. made filling much simpler.

Never really had problems getting to mine.

Go to Home depot, find a drill pump (conects to drill and the rotating forces water in one end out the other). Then find hoses the same size as the pump (preferrable clear so you know its working). Go with something decently short, but not so short that you have to hold it up.

They move kinda slow but it gets the job done better than a hand pump.

You're right it's a 1/2". I had already filled it though when I posted. I used some left over hose from my intake and a funnel and ran it out by the drivers side tire.
