Yeah so I was on my way to work today around 3:00 and it was pretty hot outside. I'd say in the 90's. Anyway, I was going about 50 mph with the ac on full blast in my 95' s14 and all of a sudden baam* I thought I blew a tire so I pull over and popped my hood to see about a 6in crack going acorss my radiator... I dont understand. No warning sign at all my car was over heating. No leaking radiator fluid no nothing until it exploded. My guess so far is that it either had a small crack in it that got bigger or my thermostat was off. Any opinions?? So yeah, I’m off to Z Atlanta tomorrow to find me a used radiator... Ah! Such the last thing I need right now.

-I'll take some pictures tomorrow.

How old was the radiator? It could have had a small crack, but take some pictures.

Actually I just bought the car 3 weeks ago at a used dealership. This was suppose to be my daily driver... So much for that. I didnt get the 3 month warrenty cause it only covered the engine and tranny which is fine. The radiator is in very good condition besides the crack. I actually thought it was new when I first got it. I'll give them a call tomorrow to see what they'll do about it. Probably nothing.

Yah, high temp + AC = hot motor = expanded fluid = kableewy if there was even a teeny tiny crack..
