ENGINE: KA24DE
ENGINE MODS: SAFC II, SR20DET 370cc injectors, Koyo Radiator, Ram Intake

My car runs fine, but after 10 minutes I will open throttle and it immediately start bogging down. It rocks back and forth like it dumps gas, then puts less into the engine. (Kinda like if you started tapping on the gas peddle like you were playing drums and it rocks back and forth under the acceloration/deacceloration. The only way I can solve this power loss/trippy behavior is to turn the car off at a stop sign, then turn it back on (like reseting the ECU).

I also made sure the timing was perfect, still trips out.

:/ I was thinking the fuel pump is going out, but when I turn the car off, then start it up again, it runs fine for about 10 minutes of driving, then starts acting up again...

I believe a sensor is to blame, but which sensor would it be? Why would this happen?

If its the knock sensor, does anyone know which wire it is that runs to the ECU so I can tap into it and check the signal??? (talking about SAFC II, I couldnt find a wire diagram that pointed out the knock sensor for the KA24DE...)

Man if i had to guess I'd say it's either O2 or TPS (Throttle Position Sensor)

I'm having the same type of problem and I ran an ECU self diagnostic and It told me TPS..

Are your RPMs bouncing while you drive?

I would look at the TPS, and the fuel pump. It could be vapour lock also. How's the performance of your ignition system in?

I am assuming TPS and fuel pump aswell... The knock sensor is working properly, and the ignotion system is in check, I keep it in good condition, stock ignition coil and all. It seems pretty bad though.

What exactly is vapour lock? I think I might order a new TPS and upgrade to Walbro 255.

Whats kind of strange is that I ran the ECU diagnostics and it came up with a code 55... Normal engine... I thought that was kind of odd...
