Hey guys..

I just finished swapping my redtop SR into my BMW cabrio. It runs great for about 16 seconds. then it starts lobing really bad. It will go from about 800RPM to about 1300RPM, very consistantly, and it doesn't change.

I have not got an accelerator cable yet, so I cannot comment on how it drives.

THe ECU is throwing code 34 and code 11. code 11 is the cam pos. sensor. If I had a problem with my CPS, wouldn't the car not run? Code 34 is the knock sensor.

Other info- I have no EGR system, no vaccuum leaks, and the engine didn't do this when I had it installed in my S13. The engine speed is constant when you hold the throttle body open at any RPM above idle. IT only happens when the throttle plate is closed.

HAs nobody ever seen an SR lobe before? I am going to take apart the intake piping and check for air leaks and such.

here is a pic for you guys http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y256/turbocabby/DSCN1085.jpg

I figured it out. My DSM BOV was leaking kinda funny. it had a cycle of opening and closing dependant on vacuum that would make the engine lobe. all better now.

Yeah... I was told DSM valves hold up to 17psi without modifacations. Mine opens up at like 11. kinda lame.

I am gonna crush the cap tomorrow... then It will hold more. I get some crazy looks when it opens up. I have no hood right now, and It is so insanely loud. Its like purging an air comressor tank... untill I let of the gas.

how much boost a BOV holds is an irrelivant measurement

it holds the pressure difference between the BOV location and the intake manifold.
