I had a dream this weekend that I was driving through my hometown, following a friend of mine who drives a Ford Bronco.  He went straight through a traffic light, and I knew if I turned left, I could cut him off up ahead.  So, to have some fun with him, I went the other route and punched it.  The engine revved like a mo-fo, but I barely accelerated at all.  I looked down at my dash (to see the tach and speedo), and saw the gauge cluster of a Jeep Cherokee.  I looked around, and sure enough, that's what I was driving.  I started to wonder, "What's going on?  Why am I driving a Jeep?  When did I buy this?" and then I woke up.

Then, just last night, a guy calls me from a shop that I seem to know who is.  He tells me my car is ready and then I can come pick it up anytime.  Next thing I know, I'm at the shop and I ask the guy where my car is.  He points at a big red pick-up truck immediately next to us and says, "right there", with a confused voice.  I replied, "Uhm, no it isn't".  He was all like, "Uhh, yeah, that's yours.  And it's ready."  I didn't even think about what had been done to it to make it ready.  I was more concerned with why the hell he was telling me I owned a pickup truck.

So, obviously, I have some pretty bizarre mental problems.

That's just it - nothing happened to it. &nbsp;I drive it everyday, and keeping liking it more and more. &nbsp; In fact, now that Spring is here, even my friends who once critisized such a small and impractical car will admit that they like it. &nbsp;Few have driven it, but it's won over the hearts of those who have.

So, this clearly, I assume at least, isn't about the car. &nbsp;I obviously have problems.

On the subject of dreams, when I owned my 240, I once dreamt it had been stolen. &nbsp;Very oddly, in that dream, it was also yellow. &nbsp;Blech. &nbsp;Anyway, I woke up in a panic and picked up my keys from the night table next to my bed and raised them above my head (so they were window height) and pressed the unlock button. &nbsp;Sure enough, the characteristic beep echoed back from my apartment complex's parking lot, so I hit it again to lock it and went to sleep peacefully. &nbsp; But, man, what a scare.

Does anyone else have bizarre automobile-related dreams?

LOL!!! ..hahahahahahahahahahahaha..

Seriously, that was great. &nbsp; You're wrong, of course, because a del Sol is not a chick car. &nbsp;Particularly not a black manual one, at least. &nbsp; But, still ... hahahahahahahahahaha!!

I will admit that was hysterical.

I once had a dream that someone broke the windows out of my car. It so real that I got out of bed, didn't bother gettings dressed or putting on shoes (I was in my boxers !<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'> I walked across the yard to check the car. It was fine, no broken windows. I probably wouldn't have even remember it if I had not slammed the door when I went outside thinking I was to find a smashed car.
The slamming the door woke my parents who both watched me walk across the yard...do my searching about the car come back inside and climb back into bed.

They still like to tell that story when my new G/f's come over...nice parents huh!

I wouldn't be so sure about that. &nbsp; The characteristics of Denial are very strong inhibitors to reality. &nbsp; If you in fact have an issue about the Del sol being a Chick car, and feel inadequate, but refuse to admit this to yourself, then denial will take over and cover those feelings. &nbsp; When your asleep your sub-consious takes over and would allow those repressed feeling to surface. &nbsp;Possibly in the form of you owning vehicles that are more masculine. &nbsp;(sorry for the psycho-analysis)

psycho analysis is to be expected from a sykik chimp, lol

I had a dream I had a V8 twin turbo Lotus.... and my sister bitched at how I wouldn't let her drive it (i never willingly let her borrow my 240). &nbsp;Anyways, when I come out, it's junked. &nbsp;Rusted up or spraypainted... pretty much just the shell left, as though it had been stripped and left to nothing by criminals. &nbsp;Yeah... I don't think I've ever been pissed off in a dream like that before.
