infamous TYPE X ecu question...

yes, i searched. i got nothing back to my question. it is simple. Will a J5/J4 ECU (i think its the TYPE X ECU) will work on my 95 blacktop s13 sr20det? i heard from other fourms that it does, if you switch some wires or something and i read at other places that it uses the same wiring. whats the REAL question. NOOBs please dont post. thanks


BTW- whats the difference between e5 and a type x ecu?

I just installed a 62(redtop) harness with a J4 ECU, the above link is my pinout diagram I made to follow. The E5 harness should have the same pinout as the #62, as far as injectors and spark is concerned, I know Ive used a #62 on an E5 harness before.
