Well, since everyone I know is at drift night and I got owned by work, I figured I'd finally upload some pics and get this thing going. So here it is, without futher adou (sp?)
*drumroll* My H4 headlight conversion writeup /drummroll
Well, after getting my paycheck I was trolling through ebay trying to find something to spend my hard earned money on, and I found these: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...TRK%3AMEWN%3AIT
And decided I'd give them a try. I figured I could gamble the 40$ and see if these things were all they were cracked up to be.
I recieved them about a week later and we extremely suprised with the quality. Real glass, good bulbs, no janky looking shit.
The install (just to let ya know, the first time I installed them, I didnt have a camera and accidentally instaleld them upside down, hence the pics are kinda backwards in that im starting off with them installed and worked my way backwards... you get the idea. besides they are headlights, not very complicated. i think it took me a total of like 20 min b/c of pics and aligning the damn bolt holes for the little metal shroud/housing the headlights fit into... hard to reach.)

these bolts are a bitch to get to, you need a long thin philip's to get to them, also they are a pretty small size. Also, aligning the holes back up and puting the screw through was probably the hardest part of the whole installation. People with large hands/fat fingers beware!

The review
They are actually a lot more frosty blue looking in real life. Nice an bright, but not cheesy looking (according to Dan (chasethis240)) Also, the cut-off is awsome! Very clean; almost as nice as HID's and for almost 1/10th the price. I ended up splicing the blue LED "driving/city" lights in with my parking lights. That was the only custom fabrication (if you call some wire and t-taps + 5 minutes "custom fab'tion") that I did, and it was optional. The blue LED just makes the lenses themselves look more of a blue color to oncoming traffic and doesnt really change the color you, as a driver, sees.
In conclusion, ditch your yellow, pitted ass plastic pop-ups with these babies NOW! They are 183948 times better than stock and only 40$ (well now they are like 30$ cause the prices dropped). One of the best bang-for-you-buck mods I have done so far.
Hope this was informative. Thanks for reading!

Ebay H4s are crap IMO. The conversion is good but I would go with a better casing like Hella. I've used both and the hellas were well worth the extra $30. Also I suggest going with a Raybrig/PIAA bulb, much brighter and last a lot longer.

You wont find em at Kragen. Either online or a reputable import shop would have them

ClearCorners offers the best set up and I cant wait for my stuff to get here allready. I have those same housings/bulbs from Enjuku, I was pissed when they got here. I specifically asked for WHITE bulbs, the bulbs are not white. They look white when you look at them but from behind the wheel they are definitely blue. The light out put was also worse than stock, I was not stoked. I have the EUH housings coming soon along with high output bulbs and I'm going to wire them to the battery so they are going to be BRIGHT.

these things are crap... i use to use/sell em..
after a while the housing leaks and water gets in.. it will also (if u use the bulbs they give you) melt your light harness. The light output isn't as good as stock just more white/blue but a bit of yellow helps your eyes see.
As for the blue bulbs, that when the bulb is new.. after the coat burns off due to the heat it will be more white.. these bulbs usually last 4-7 months. If you have DRL less. PIAAs last about twice as long but cost 5 times the ammount but are brighter.
Save up get HIDS or HID fogs

Thanks for the info! ill keep an eye out for the water leakage and the harness melting... i like them over stock, bottom line. i am planning on going with some HID fogs though for sure. i just have to do a bit more reasearch on the matter... see what i need to get and all. thanks for the input; good and bad. at least this post will help people in the future decide if they want to got the cheap route or not.
it will look really goofy if your rockin HID foglights and ricer blue headlights.
if your planning on running HID's then you will need either a very very good H4 housing such as bosch which will still have a dirty cutoff, or you need to retrofit HID projectors into the h4 housing.

if you go HID, you should retrofit a good lense in there so the cut off is nice and you put all your light to the ground.
or find those other kinds of lights with the lenses in'em already. i forgot the brand name

are you thinkong of the HELLA conversion kits?
also, my lights arent that blue at all... more bright frosty white when seeing them from outside the car. very non-ricer. they just have a slight bluish tint from behind the wheel.

dirtyaarondouchesan, who the hell still sells the HELLA conversion housings? I've been searching and no luck... PDM carries the Bosch ones but I understand they are different than the HELLA ones.
Dorifto: Drive up to a wall on flat ground at night and take a pic of it (the beam pattern/cutoff/whatever. you know, the light against the wall). Interested in seeing what it looks like.

I have these, I would stay away from them if I had to buy again. Excellent quality and cutoff, however they are for RHD countries and throw too much light to the left. Drivers flash me on two lanes so obviously its blinding them a bit.

euro being german = lhd
you got the wrong ones or need to realign yours
mine are on lindsays car. ive seen th cutoff so many times
same as USDM LDH, flares off to the right, as it should
first time i put them on i got a lot of flashes. lined up against the garage and made some minor adjustments, no problems EVER.

no. theyre made by "super made" from japan. that hella conversion doesnt look like does a whole lot. looks stock to me. and theres no way a reflector type housing will out do a projector type.
