With the growing popularity of 240SX's come the increasing number of thefts. Perhaps there could be a section dedicated to increasing awareness on stolen 240SX's and 240SX parts.
Many of us enthusiasts notice 240SX's whenever we're driving, and sometimes its notable enough to post about it (i.e. "LA/OC sightings"). A public section for stolen vehicles would have a very helpful purpose in recovering the car and maybe even convicting the criminal.
Pros:
1. Fewer stickies in existing sections.
2. Easier to find posts (yeah people should search more effectively, but it can't hurt to facilitate the search)
3. More prominent reminder instead of "I'll be on the look out in my town (but might forget tomorrow)"
Why a section and not just a thread like the picture thread? Because recovery is more likely if there is discussion and replies to the listing. If there were just one thread for multiple stolen vehicles, it would get very unorganized. Maybe a subsection can be implemented in Regional forums.
As 240SX enthusiasts, despite our differences in taste or personality, we all share a common fear of theft and wish nothing but the best of luck to the victim. We should take advantage of the internet's widespread communication, and I think dedicating a resource to these theft victims is definitely something we can do as an online community.
