I just finished swapping a 97 KA w/ a 95 tranny into my s13 coupe, and for some reason the driveshaft won't go in all the way, about 1/4 inch or so off.

I'm thinking its the collar that is around the tranny that is messing things up, instead of the actual driveshaft.

I searched and it is said that the rubber rear cullar comes off...?? It looks like its on there pretty good. Its rubber, but it looks like the collar underneath is metal, so am I gonna have to physically cut it off? Or is there a way to "slip" it off?

any help would be great :)

just put a big flathead screwdriver on it and tap it off. ideally, you should use the metal collar on the s13 transmission, but they're a PITA to get out.
