i have a 1992 240sx coupe SE the car has been sitting for a couple months and i just recently tried to start the car, batteries dead and when i do jump start the car, it runs but dies after a minute or 2 can anyone help me on this?

also my friend has the same problem but his battery is good and his alternator is good, could it be the mafs sensor?

is it throwing any codes? check that first.

take filter off and check the maf, if the tiny wire is still there then good, clean it with electrical cleaner...though i doubt that's your problem.

is it getting fuel?

yea its getting fuel because everytime i gas it when i turn it on, i rev it to 2000rpm and when i let it idle for like a minute, the car starts to die and when i gas it tries to give it gas then it die, maybe my fuel pump?

my friend bought a new fuel pump for his car and it does the same thing, should i clean the maf sensor?

ill try cleaning the maf on my dayoff, work kills my car time

check your codes, i have a feeling it might be your coolant temp sensor.

code #13

try to clean it first, if that helps, then just replace it. the connectors are probably corroded to hell.

if you have any kill switches wired off anything check to make sure the switches havent gone bad.

sounds like your alternator going bad. Same thing happened to me. My car died out so i jumped it and it started but died out after a minute. I changed to alternator and the car is running smooth now. Get your battery checked out at kragen for free. They will tell you if they can recharge it or if your battery needs to be repaced.
