well i came up on a kazz 2 way lsd. turns out its a viscous pumpking so i dont wanna deal with it so i need to get rid of it. i was told its new in box but not from what other people who have seen me told me as mr2turbo2 said at the bottom. i looks test fitted actually or was ganna be used but never was well either way i wanna get rid of it so im asking 600 OBO and also looking for parts for an s13.

LSD FOR A VISCOUS
http://www.upgrademotoring.com/perf...kaaz/nissan.htm
Number on the Box: DAN2625

I picked it up here: http://www.zilvia.net/f/showthread.php?t=85654

MR2TURBO2: "I drove down to pomona on saturday because i thought this was the SANxxxx model, but it was definatly the older type (DAN). This lsd was in very good condition, but obviously used, NOT new. This was evident by the fact that the bearings were already pressed on the lsd and you could see where the bolts were seated all around it in order to hold the gear on."

call me at 9099646257 i want it gone ASAP tonight would be great.

and make sure u read all the info cuz honestly im a newb with LSD so im going by what people told me. all sales are final. thanks guys. and let me know please

Okay, so this LSD is a 240SX 2-way that fits in the VLSD casing? What the highest offer, not including what Mr. Mephistopheles said with his price of $3.50. If its for the VLSD Casing, I may be interested and can possibly pick up depending on where you are. Anyone know anything else about this LSD?

Ok, I'll quit joking around and add real info.
I have a DAN2625 (well, its in Lisa's car now). It's not for VLSD housing, but it DOES need VLSD output shafts.
I can't fathom whats up with the $400 markup. $600 for a used Kaaz in housing with shafts is a reasonable price though. For a bare differential that will require installation and shafts... not so good.
Obviously you're going for 'best offer' which is a good idea. :D

So its for the open diff cases but need the output shafts (from like a Hicas) to work. Hmm, if my car can get fixed w/o a salvage title (got rear-ended) I may be interested.

what do you mean its not for vlsd housing? the pumpkins are the same as far as I know. I have an S14 SE vlsd, so would it work in mine or not?

Let me make it clear for all of you.

You need the OUTPUT SHAFTS (not axles... diff, then output shafts coming out of the diff, then axles bolted to the output shafts that go to the rear hubs.. get it?) from a VLSD to use this.

OUTPUT SHAFTS.

FROM A VLSD.

Differential housing should NOT matter.

YOU NEED THE OUTPUT SHAFTS FROM A VLSD.

Has it really been that long since I've had my car?....

http://forums.freshalloy.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=UBB9&Number=67466879&page=&view=&sb=5&o=&fpart=all&vc=1

For "VLSD output shaft" all you really have to do is cut the open diff output shaft by ~1/4". There is a specific amount you have to cut off the inside end but I lost my pics with my hard drive crash earlier this year.

For everyone's reference the diff I had was the same one as this being sold, and since it is already used I strongly recommend a professional to measure all tolerances prior to install.
