I'm not very good at math and I'm trying to help a friend out with her algebra, haha
the problem: Solve for X
bX-cX=-c
Can you show me how to do this?
Hehe, how's this for off topic?

BX-CX=-C
Factor out X
X(B-C)=-C
X= -C/B-C
which is the same as
X=C/C-B
which is a nicer way to write the answer.

All you have to do is isolate the X:
bX-cX = -c
X(b-c) = -c
X = -c/(b-c)
Ta da. She must be pretty good looking if you volunteered to help her with algebra and "aren't too good at math"...

Haha, doh. Of course, factor it out :-P
Thanks guys I knew I could count on Zilvia to have someone bored enough to help me out, hahaha.

^^^ Last I checked, that was the real reason we all show up here. We are bored and somehow end up helping people.
