A COOL COP????

i was riding shot in my buddies 99 eclipse gst, nice one, got sweet rims, injen cold air, just got a BOV, good stereo and got the altezza's but kept the centre panel out cause it's gay.

anyways we were going to see a movie (changing lanes- it was good) we pulle din to the mall parking lot and as we approached teh theatre a cop came out with a security gaurd along side him.

he comes up to the window but my buddy cant roll it down cause he keeps the fuse out to prevent running to odo. so the cop comes around to his side and my buddy puts the fuse back in and rolls the window down. the cop reaches in and pulls my buddies radar detector of the windshield.  

"this is illegal you know, where are you from?"

"Indiana" he has indiana plates but is actually from around here, it;s just a cover.

cop- "Fuck you you're from indiana, you live on Francis Creek blvd, show me your license"

shows him a local license

"This dont say indiana on it, i know where you live, you cant use radar detectors here."

My buddy is kinda shitting his pants cause he'd been caught before and just spent another $400 on a top of the line radar detector, and he has now lied to the cop who has the radar detector rolled up in his hand.

cop - "do you know preston Gabriel?"

Shawn - "NO"

cop - "fuck you, he lives down the street from you "

shawn - "oh Preston, yeah i didnt know his last name"

cop - (smiling) "you ever see a yellow pickup in his drive?"

shawn - "no"

cop - "well it's mine, he's a good friend" tosses the radar detector back to shawn and says "nice car"

the cop is a young guy, cop less than a year, friend of friends it turns out, he talked for a minute, mostly laughing at how scared my buddy was and how funny the whole thing is.

Then after the movie we are driving into a nightlife hotspot and some car is flashing his beams behind us, it's an RSX typr S i can see then he pulls up......It's the cop

shawn - "you wanna race"

cop (Ben is his name) "no thanks"

then we laugh some more,

ben also had a sweet girl i know sittign shot gun, her older brother is also a new cop and use to have a 90+300z, another cop in the city, huge black guy has a typr R and cruises with the everyone all the time.

maybe all cops arent that bad, at least they dont start off that way

Yeah, I've actually had very good experiences with cops, they have my respect.  

Check out what happened at the first Pentagon meet:

So it's the first Pentagon meet, not a lot of people show up, but it's a decent turn out (about 10 cars).  We are trying to come up with a place to go eat and for the past hour or so we have been getting several police driving by every 10 minutes or so (they kept slowing down when they came close to us).  

Anyways, we're about to leave and head on out to Tyson's Corner, when this military spec Hummer jumps a couple of ditches (they have ditches instead of curbs at the Pentagon) and comes to a stop where we all are gathering.  Two soldiers hop out with M4A1's and grenade launcher (I think they were grenade launchers that were attached anyways), in hand.  At this point some of us are just standing there, jaws dropped wondering what we should do.

Well, to make a long story short though, they turned out to be pretty cool guys and we talked a while about cars and whatnot, until they had to get back to work.  It was an interesting experience to say the least.

My cool cop experience:

Christmas Day 2000 about 8<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':0'>0am on my way to in-laws house with my wife and son in the car. Pull up to the last light on hwy 50 in a small town called clermont, next town (groveland) is about 5 miles down 50, long straight road. I am in my ford Probe GT with wheels, exhaust, intake, coils, and act clutch. Sitting next to me at the light is a clermont cop in uniform, in a patrol car. Light turns green, he floors it and is looking back at me with his hands in the air like "come get some!" well I'm f*ckin nutz anywayz so I nail it and am going through the gears slowly catching him, by fourth gear at about 110mph I was beside him and didnt want to push my luck so I slowed to stay with him, we both let off and coasted to a slower speed where he was telling me to rll my window down, I did and he said "You better slow down up here, groveland cops are real dickheads!" He turned around and went back to his town. He wasnt even young and he looked kinda like John Force lol. Coolest cop I have ever seen.

My Cool Cop ( or in this Case Sheriff ) Story.
the School cop at the time was a Guy named Dep. Dow, ( Cyprus High school, SLC utah ) i had a 89 IrocZ Camaro at the time this happened, it had some nice mods ( 350 with custom Pistons,Crank,Cams,Heads and Headers, it was pushin around 390-400 FlywheelHP ) well me and My girlfriend at the time Decided to Skip Class and go down to the park that was Down the Street to spin some donuts and hang out and stuff ( it was a Small town in a Big city type thing, No houses around the park, just a golf course and horse pastures ) well were spinning dounts for about 20-30 min, and Dow pulls up and hops outa his car, comes up to talk to me and he's all like what ya doing, i told him i was just warmin my tires up, he looks around at the smoke in the air from my tires and is like ya know this is public property and i can write you a ticket for Reckless driving, exhibition driving, truancy ( and in the case of my Girlfriend a Smoking Ticket ) i looked at him and told him, yeah i know you can, he looked back at me and my girlfriend and told us you guys have fun, turned around, hopped back in his car and took off, i was like thank god.

Yeah, honestly, that doesn't seem like a very cool cop to me. Sounds like he used to be a highschool bully and is carrying on the tradition. Don't forget, assholes can like cars too.

I heard a story from a friend on time about this cop that pulled over a Viper. The guy in the viper was freaking out, he had done nothing wrong. The cop walked up to the driver dorr and started the usual cop small talk.
Then he tells the driver that he did nothing wrong he just he a simple request..the request being this...he asked him to burn the tires through the intersection!

The guy did it! The cop flashed his lights and drove off.
